We never had much candy in my house when I was growing up, as my parents wanted to encourage us to eat healthy as much as possible. Every October, I would count down the days to Halloween, when I knew I'd be going trick-or-treating. I looked forward to all candy, but in particular, I loved Baby Ruth bars. The combination of chocolate, peanuts, caramel and — my favorite part — chewy white nougat made this my favorite Halloween treat of all time. What about you? What treats did you look forward to eating on Halloween, then and now?

Burberry
Dries Van Noten
Martick Jewellery
I'll have to say Reese's peanut butter cups. But we had the owners of a McDonald's that lived in our neighborhood and they would give out $5 coupons to their McDs.
1oh i loved snickers. so good!
2Top 5
5) snickers
34) sweet tarts
3) sugar daddy
2) peanut M&M's
1) Now and Laters.
Smarties & fun-size Butterfingers
4Reece's cups were and probably still are my favorites, with Peanut M & M's a close second.
5hmmm yea definitely reese's cups and m&ms and snickers!
6Sugar Daddy's - ohmygosh....I lived for those. I was also in love with those sour apple lollipops that had the gooey caramel on them! How creative and smart was that????
7Charleston Chew! Stick it in the freezer and then SMACK it on the counter to break it up. I would always make my kids give me theirs. Sadly, it's kind of hard to find nowadays.
8Mmm...Big Hunks gotta love those! Also,it was such a treat to get those lips made out of wax that you could chew like gum, does anyone remember those? Also those wax bottles with the sugary flavored liquid inside.
9sweet tarts, tootsie rolls, the wax lips yvette mentioned
10Then... snickers! Now, Mint 3 Musketeers.
11Caramellos! They still are my favorite.
12Peggasus (or anyone, really) - If you're interested in finding Charleston Chew (or any vintage candy), check out this site:

I've ordered from here before when I've had a craving and have always been sweetly (or in some candy cases sourly) satisfied
cheesy joke, I know....but it's friday
13Did not grow up here, we had Halloween parties a couple of times but our own celebrations certainly involved more food preparation than store bought candy.
143 musketeers, twix, sweet tarts, reeses pb cups
15starbursts, almond joy, skittles, charleston chews, vanilla/fruit flavored tootsie rolls!
16my parents didn't.......believe in halloween or trick or treating. they said it was sacrilegious. my siblings and I snuck out one year to trick or treat and never did it again after the trouble we got in to. ):
17Bit o' Honeys were always my favorites - I used to trade with my sister and brother for them.
18jolly rancher sticks, not the little candies. watermelon of course.
19Tootsie rolls were, and always will be, my favorite.
20Tootsie rolls, candy corn and those peanut butter kisses things in the black and orange wrappers
21Dum Dums and Sugar Daddy's...
22Mini Three Musketeers bars.
23fruit tootsie rolls, crunch bars, and 100 grand bars!!! yuuuumm
24Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. Best candy every made!
25Nestle crunch, Butterfingers and KitKats! I also loved grape Jolly Ranchers.
26Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, all the way. Starburst was a close second, especially the pink and red ones!
27Peanut butter cups, peanut M&Ms, Snickers... but my favorite of all was Baby Ruth!
My least favorite were those hunks of pink bubble gum that were wrapped in yellow and blue paper. Tasteless, hard, horrible gum.
28Mini snickers! Although, I also love Tootsie Rolls...it's really the only time of year I ever eat them.
29starbursts and skittles and sour patch kids and sweet tarts!
30caramilk bars too (its canadian)
My favorite growing up were mini Snickers bars, luckily my little sis is a weirdo and doesn't like chocolate so it was easy to get all of hers! Plus my neighbor used to give out the full size bags of Peanut MnM's which were also a favorite instead of the fun size and that was always fun to get them from him!
31I was never a big trick or treater. My family would take me to the mall, how lame is that? I would consider it a grand haul if I got a few Smarties. For a few years we did make popcorn balls though, mmmmm.
32For the sake of length of words, I'll say the candies I NEVER liked were Milk Duds and Raisinets.
33Or York Peppermint Patties.
34Twix. Chilled first.
35Peanut Butter Cups, Mounds and Snickers.
36Snickers, baby ruth and butterfinger!
37MMmmmm I used to looove Twix, Bit O Honey, and Sugar Daddies!!! These posts make me miss all the free candy!
38Any full-sized candy bars. I loved it when some homes gave full-size candy.
39i was always a reeses girl - any type of the chocolate/peanut butter combo would make me happy. i'm kind of in the same boat as you - we didn't have TOO much candy around the house growing up, so it was a novelty. we only really ever had hersey's kisses to eat, and those are kind of boring after a while since they are so one note.
40Anything but the Smarties and Sweet Tarts. Never a fan. Oh, and wasn't it cool when the houses passed out drinks? I lived in the deep south, so actually it was often still warm outside on Halloween nights. Getting those little plastic barrels of fruit punch was SO cool. Ah memories.
41Reese's peanut butter cups, then and now!
42candy corn pumpkins! They only come out around halloween.
43starbursts, but my parents would never let me eat them. there's this one house that used to give out dollar coins. i hear they still do it...
44Pixelhaze, I love those! Candy corn pumpkins, regular candy corn, snickers, any hershey's chocolate, and m and m's! But I was always afraid I would run out of candy, so I used to just eat a tiny bit and try to make it last...it all ended up going bad!
45I'm with Party - I still love Caramellos! I'm also still a sucker for regular candy corn. It's a classic.
