Top Chef!I never miss an episode.
I never really caught on to Iron Chef America, I can sit and watch the Japanese version for hours though. Don't know what the other one lacks

Don't get either of those here in Australia (well, maybe on cable, but I haven't got cable), but we do currently have the original Japanese Iron Chef running right now, and I do watch it. I get a bit grossed out by it, though, when they do something like cut the head off of a live octopus or chop up a live lobster... I'm guessing they don't do that on the American show (I can only imagine the outcry about animal cruelty!)

It really depends on the cast for Top Chef. When it's about the food and the challenge of working around certain constraints, that can be great. When it's all about the drama and who's turned down which oven or burner, I really couldn't care less.

Iron Chef, on the other hand, is dependable, mostly. The Japanese version was all about the food and techniques, while the American version let's some of the 'cult of personality' through, which I find distracting.

    Top Chef 100%.

I cant watch Iron Chef because its so unrealistic to me, and I think Micheal Symon acts like a d-bag.

Iron Chef, the ORIGINAL, not the American series.
The Japanese version is fantastic! You can't look away!

Iron Chef, the original, is the best. Now my boyfriend and I get a kick out of Good Eats!

Iron Chef is great, but I do not consider the chefs on it true Iron Chefs except for of course, Morimoto. Bobby Flay is not a Chef, nor is Mario Batali.

Top Chef is the best. I've been watching it since the first season.

I just can't get into Iron Chef. My brother loves it though.

i used to LOVE watching iron chef but i've come to really guess what some of them are going to make and it's not as exciting for me. now i have to say that my preference is to watch Top Chef since there are more interesting personalities there and they are ALWAYS doing something different. you would think that with everything being left up to choice with IC - that it would be better, but i feel like it's usually the same types of dishes that are being made and that's not as exciting to me.

Definitely Top Chef, although it would've been a tie if we were talking about the old Iron Chef. I've just never gotten into the American version. For one thing, they're missing the horribly dubbed Japanese actress judges, who were always worth watching.

Top Chef hands down! I love it! I like Iron Chef but I like the changes in the challenges each week in Top Chef and the more interpersonal relationships that it covers. I love the episode when they hold their own ingredient blind folded taste test with junk food lol. Top Chef is my favorite show compared to any other show just about
