Pepsi's redesigning their look and I've got a sneak peek at the logo redesign! The new logo, shown here at bottom right, is the 11th in Pepsi's 110-year history. It was designed by the Arnell Group and took five months to create. Graphically, the logo is loosely characterized by a smile.
Advertising experts estimate that rolling out the new look of the brand — updating trucks, vending machines, point-of-purchase displays, and other signage — will cost Pepsi hundreds of millions of dollars. Do you think the redesign is worth the cost to roll out the new look?

I like it but I don't drink Pepsi.
1It looks kinda retro, like more than their actual older designs.
2I don't drink soda.
3I prefer Coca-Cola
4I agree that their previous logo was showing it's age. However, I don't agree with changing the 'ying/yang' to an image that is suppose to reflect a smile. I also don't like how they applied the new logo to their packaging.
Maybe it will grow on me like the new AT&T logo did...
5For some reason, i don't think "beverage" when i see the new logo.
6It looks a little much like one of those pokemon things. unimpressed.
7They ought to go back to the 1962 logo. The new one is uninspired and safe.
8When I see the new logo, it just makes me think they were "inspired" by Obama
9I like the logo but I see no need to change it. Hundred of millions gone to waste if you ask me. I don't feel like them changing the logo will gain them no customer, I don't drink any dark soda.
10i like the old logo wayyyy better
11and i looove pepsi over coke!!
It lookd like an election sign.
12I don't care for it, but it doesn't matter I prefer Coke
1971 all the way
13I don't drink dark or caffeinated sodas anymore, but when I did, I looooved Pepsi! I had a watch that looked like the 1962 logo! The new logo looks a little like the Girl Scouts logo to me, the side of a face. Hundreds of millions of dollars to change a logo, sounds like a waste to me, who picks soda based on how the logo looks???
141971 logo was the best. Don't really like the new one.
15I like the top three LOL!
16I don't know if it's worth the investment, that will be determined later. However, it doesn't fit the standard of their most recent looks. Same colors, but everything else is different. I think that's why Coca-Cola tends to rank higher on branding lists that factor in monetary value than Pepsi does.
17I think it looks wonky and I don't like the font. It won't change my opinion of the drink, but I think it's a waste of money.
If they're doing it though I assume they have market research that tells them they ought to.
18I grew up with the 1971 logo. It was definitely the best of the bunch.
19I think its weird that they want to spend all this money for a new campaign when the economy is doing so badly.
20I think it looks terrible - very lopsided and slapdash. =P Way waste of money!
21i like the font, but i don't really like the picture. I see no smile. :\
22The '71 logo looks best. The new one looks too impersonal.
23They shouldn't change just to change, just stick with the old one. And I agree with those who said they 1971 one is the best.
24I don't really get why they're changing in the first place.
25i still like the '71 logo best! cutely simple and retro!
party-i have a friend who works for frito-lay, and he said that even in a bad economy, people still buy snack foods, soda and beer...and that my friends, is why we have an obesity epidemic!
26Looks sort of bland to me.
27I hate it when any company changes their logo. But I agree Jude, it is kinda bland and ordinary. Why did they change the way the wave curls...?
28Why to they keep changing the logo???
It looks like a pregnant belly to me (red shirt, blue pants)- lol
29Not much of a Pepsi drinker as it is but I'm not so sure about this new logo...it's ok...I would say it has kinda a sailing vibe more then a smile and the lettering looks simplistic
30it doesn't really work for me actually. i think that maybe when we see it on the packaging it'll look better.
31I prefer the 1951 logo (but maybe that's because I prefer Coke), but the new logo definitely looks like it was inspired by Obama's symbol. Pepsi knows what the young people like
32i like the current one a lot better but maybe it just take getting used to.
33I don't like it.. I have always liked the 1971 logo and I wasn't keen on the last redesign but I really hate this one.
34I agree w/ Amelia77. They could have given the $$ to some good cause & left it alone.....lol
