Whoa whoa whoa, where are my crispy cookie people?? XD; I like chewy other cookies, but there's just something about a chocolate chip cookie that's got some snap in it.... But a good
chocolate chip cookie is a good chocolate chip cookie, regardless.
i'm certainly a chewy cookie person. i don't like crumbs and i feel like you'll get more of them when you have the crispy cookie...and also, you don't need as much to drink if your cookie is
chewy.
I'm "other". My sister makes the best ones, crispy edges and chewy, gooey warm goodness in the middle. Mmmmmmm. It's been years since I've eaten cookies!
I'm in the "other camp" because I love my chocolate chip cookies filled with chocolate chips, crispy around the edges, and gooey on the inside. Mmmmmm! I recently found the recipe for my
favorite cookie shop recipe online and I have been working with it to get it perfect. If anyone grew up in Fresno, you can find the Hungry Bear Cookie recipe online by googling it.
I heart chewy chocolate chip cookies. My favorite chocolate chip cookie of all time is the one I had from Levain Bakery in NYC. Holey moley! I've only had it once, but I wish I lived closer
to the bakery because I'd buy it all the time. They're humongous, the chocolate chips are perfectly melted, and ugh... just perfect!
Oh yeah, I love the cookies that come out of the oven and have slightly overcooked, crispy edges. That gives a nice flavor. But the rest has to be chewy for an optimal cookie!
And iamangiepooh, I adore Levain Bakery...they make the greatest cookies in NYC. The best cookies I've had in SF are from Specialty's Bakery. Still searching around Boston and DC, since I
divide my time between those areas these days.
warm and soft with the chocolate chips completely melted!!
Oh but the above are right, the edges do have to be slightly crispy, otherwise the cookie just falls apart! I bake them at a slightly higher temperature for less time, that way they're chewy
inside but crispy on the edges.
I don't eat cookies much, but if I'm gonna have a chocolate chip cookie, I like them to be slightly crispy on the edges and not all the way baked, so the dough is still mushy in the middle.
Yummy!!
Damn, another reason my I shouldn't read the site while hungry. For me, chewy, but with some crunch on the outside. Pecans can sometimes be nice, but I'm fond of putting a bit of almond meal
in the mix.
It might be an Aussie thing but I cannot cope with chewy biscuits, sorry I can't call them cookies - to this Aussie they have to be biscuits. Crispy all the way!
When freshly baked, I do like the cookie chewy in the middle and crispy on the edges. I also like the crispy pepperidge farm sausalito cookie with a nice tall glass of cold milk.
A little tip I learned is if you add a box of pudding to the dought (you dont have change the recipe) than your cookies will stay soft and chewy even if you leave them out. Or you can add a
slice of bread (some say apple i dont want the apple to goop[ up my cookies) to your cookie jar it will soften up hard cookies.
Warm, soft, oozing choclate chips so I suppose chewy. I just love moist cookies and sinking my teeth into them. BUT! I do have a fondess for the crispy ones. Those i love to dunk in my milk
because the chewy one would just fall apart in my glass. I like the snap of a crisp cookie with milk So i'd have to pick Both!
Haha, I didn't realise there were other Aussies here (Perth myself). Right now I'm in love with the packs of cookies you get from Coles bakeries with the m&m or snickers bits. Crunchy,
but with just a bit of chewy in the middle. Yum!

This soup ends up being a good source of three blood pressure-lowering minerals since the milk adds calcium and the potatoes deliver a dose of potassium, as well as magnesium.

1Chewy. I don't like the crispy ones much.
2If I wanted crispy snacking, I'd be eating potato chips.
3Crispy cookies are just wrong.
4obviously you have never had my crispy cookies!! I love crispy chocolate chip cookies! I make them with a hint of toffee and they are delicious!!!
5I wouldn't say chewy, I'd describe it more as soft and gooey. And warm.
6Chewy, gooey, warm, and chocolatey! Mmmm...I'm very simple; cookies are my favorite dessert, especially Chocolate Chip cookies and Double Stuf Oreos
7Chewy, definitely. I always bake them a minute less than suggested so that they're sure to be nice and soft.
8Chewy! And no nuts, please.
9The only cookie that I like to be crispy is the Oreo. But any other cookie I want right out of the oven.
10I don't eat cookies. Crazy, I know.
11I'm a chewy fan!
12i say 90% chewy with a 10% crispy rim. mmm...cookies.

16Other, because can't I have both? I'll take a chocolate chip cookie whether it's chewy or crispy!

18I agree, crispy edges, soft gooey middle! OMG, I want some right now!
19Chewy & almost cakey.

22Crunchy on the edges... then chewy in the middle. Best of both worlds!
23Warm and chewy and there is no way you can eat just one.
24I don't eat cookies much, but if I'm gonna have a chocolate chip cookie, I like them to be slightly crispy on the edges and not all the way baked, so the dough is still mushy in the middle. Yummy!!
25I love chewy
26I meant I love chewy cookies
27Crisp on the bottom and chewy on the top.
28I like cookies that aren't quite cooked, just ever so slightly undercooked.
29I like my cookies a little crispy around the edges, but chewy in the center. I guess I like to have my cake and eat it too!

31Chewy! There's just something weird about a crispy cookie. I might as well eat a cracker. Mmmmmmmmmmm, warm, gooey, soft cookies are great!
32chewy if home baked...crispy is store bought
33I'm glad to see that zero percent choose "i don't like chocolate chip cookies." I mean, that shouldn't even be an option
34I am in the soft gooey warm and chewy camp!
35Chewy still warm from the oven OMG YUM
36prefer chewy, but i'll take a chocolate chip cookie any way i can get it!
37It might be an Aussie thing but I cannot cope with chewy biscuits, sorry I can't call them cookies - to this Aussie they have to be biscuits. Crispy all the way!
38in australia, chewy cookies arent common... in fact, only SUBWAY makes chewy cookies known.
our hard cookies are called "biscuits." and pretty much every cafe/shop sells biscuits, not chewy cookies.
39There's nothing better than a soft chewy cookie. I prefer peanut butter and chocolate chip.
40When freshly baked, I do like the cookie chewy in the middle and crispy on the edges. I also like the crispy pepperidge farm sausalito cookie with a nice tall glass of cold milk.

43I voted for chewy, but I agree with what a lot of others have said...chewy middle, crispy on the outside!
44chewy...warm...soft... yum!
45Chewy = delicious
46Hands down, chewy!
47crispy is no good
48Crispy cookie + gooey chocolate chips = NO.
49Chewy cookie + gooey chocolate chips = YUM!
