With its creamy cheese, world-renowned wines, classic cooking techniques, and rich culinary history, it's hard not to love the fabulous country that is France. Know someone who longs to live near the Louvre? Take her there with a bag of imported fleur de sel and a block of foie gras. Love ALL the products listed here ... they all look like perfect gifts for my dad. I bought him a pretty good sized bloc of fois gras last year so need to come up with something different this year! The funny thing was that he was saving it for the evening (I gave it to him in the morning) and while he was away, I hid it somewhere in the house and he came back, couldn't find it, and went MENTAL!!!
It was hilarious.
1i love this book. i think that sometimes we want to expand our repetoire and this is just the best way to do it. although i don't eat a lot of stuff that's used in french cooking, i do LOVE wine and cheese, so anything that can enhance that enjoyment is good for me.
2Great ideas.
I've almost ordered the croissants several times.
Ina convinced me to buy fleur de sel. I'm all for splurging, but sticking the $18 salt in my cart was a little depressing.
3Lizzylu, that's super expensive!
I found some much cheaper in here, and
it always takes me a long time to use the whole box.
Love it though, it makes such a difference.
4This book is fabulous!!!!!!!!!
