In case you missed it while you were cooking the turkey (or recovering from a turkey-induced coma), the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got Rick Rolled! By Rick Astley himself! (Lookin' pretty good, I might add. ) As Rick rollin' geeksugar pointed out, I wonder how many people were in on the joke and how many viewers just thought he was singing his hit song from the '80s

I thought that I loved Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends as much as I possibly could. I was wrong! I'm never gonna give them up, never gonna let them down, never gonna say goodbye or desert them.

And Rick Astley did look quite nice!!

The combination of "Foster's. . ." and Rick rolling was surprisingly fun, but I have to agree with freakshow. But, then, how can something jump the shark when I was the only one in a room of 15 laughing?

    'jump the shark' translation?
All I could think of was the clip with Barack Obama on John McCain's speech clip...it made me tear up just like before.
And then I though, hey! he's really cute!

I saw this. it was great - I love the parade!

mesayme: the phrase "jump the shark" means something has reached it's peak and will go downhill from then on. It's a reference to a Happy Days episode from the 70s when Fonzie literally jumped over a shark pool on his motorcycle.

It's amazing how odd some of these phrases and phenomena in America are... Rick Rolled/ing, Jumping the Shark, what else can we come up with?
