What would the food industry be without reality TV food competitions? 2008 was filled with interesting characters, odd-ball personalities, and plenty of heat in the kitchen. We covered the three main shows: Top Chef, Next Food Network Star, and Hell's Kitchen. While we love Stefan and Fabio from Top Chef 5, we thought to be fair, the poll should include only contestants from completed seasons. So as part of our ongoing Best of 2008 coverage, tell us: which cheftestant is your fav?

Lisa Garza grated on my nerves. I almost had to stop watching The Next Food Network Star because of her. Something about her just made me cringe.
1Wait, where is Andrew from Top Chef?! Coining the term culinary boner should land him on this list LOL!
2I had to choose Kelsey. She's just so darn Perky and Cute! LOL
3Loved Lisa. Her show would have been fabulous once she got over her jitters!
4I really liked Kelsey. She may not have been the best chef on the show, but she was fun to watch.

6Stephanie Izard? Really? I thought she was a snoozefest.
7Yeah, what about the amazingly awesome Andrew from TC? He's probably my fave contestant ever.

10Stephanie is the only one on this list (except for maybe Richard from Top Chef) that didn't annoy me. Just because she wasn't a drama queen or trouble maker, doesn't make her a snoozefest. I think she let her food speak for itself and that took her to the top.
11I LOVED Stephanie. She was/is too cute.
12I love Spike so I chose him, but I also love Richard and Stephanie. Richard was on Movie and Dinner (or something like that) and he made some awesome ice cream.
13Kind of a tie between Blais & Izard. I loved watching what Blais would cook up but I also love Izard's personality. She was just so humble and gracious.
14I agree with Powerpuffgirl. Stephanie let her food speak for itself; just because she didn't b**** and whine and moan during her span on the show doesn't mean she was boring.
15I love Blais. His blogs are funny, his attitude is great and the food at his restaurant is fantastic!
16i'm not overly wowed by any of them but i had to choose either someone from top chef or hell's kitchen since they were the most compelling to me.
