Since I discussed preparing items out of season with you earlier, I thought it would be interesting to see how many of you actually know what is naturally available during the Winter months. Take my quiz to find out!

Yay that was fun! I did pretty good. Guess b/c I like produce
1I'm really shocked by passion fruit. I just assumed it was a summer fruit.
26/10
3Yeah half of these I rarely (if ever) eat... so... I wouldn't have known either way!
4Jerusalem artichoke is actually at its best between Nov-March yumsugar. I got blood orange wrong though! I should have known that
58/10 Don't worry, I missed the passion fruit too!
6Also in UK apple finishes around October, maybe in the US it's much later. Apple is a tricky fruit, not many people (including myself until recently) realize supermarkets stock them in a big commercial fridge for christmas time and through out the winter. Many people think it's winter fruit but it's isn't really.
79/10, got passion fruit wrong (the only one I guessed on)
88/10! Not too bad. I was surprised on passion fruit, and I thought cabbage was a fall veg.
97/10. It help to go to the farmers market. They only sell what's in season.
108/10
118/10 - stupid passion fruit
My farmer's market is misleading though because I live in southern CA. A lot of things that should be out of season are still there like fresh berries, tomatoes, artichokes, okra and asparagus.
12Not bad for a vegetarian...
13Interesting.
