As much as I love looking up recipes online, there's nothing quite like the secret glee that I feel deep down when I see a brand-new issue of a food magazine with an artfully done cover. For part of our Best of 2008 coverage, I want to hear your thoughts.
Who has the most stunning food photography, the most useful layout, and the best recipes?

Cooking light's recipes are simple and they have such great seasonal recipes, too. Good for vegetarians like me as well...
yeah, cooking light! their stuff is easy to make and always comes out really tasty!
RR for sure.
I am very loyal to Bon Appetit, but I like Food and Wine too.
I really like Saveur and Bon Appétit. Saveur's breakfast issue was amazing!
Vegetarian Times.
Cook's Illustrated.
Saveur is always a feast for the senses - The photography is beautiful and the food -- amazing.
Not on the list, but Cook's Illustrated.
I voted for Cooking Light because that's where I find the most usable recipes. Everyday Food is a close 2nd.
I love Everyday w/ Rachael Ray and Food and Wine!
Toss-up between Bon Appetit and Cooking Light. Cooking Light is healthier and more user-friendly, but some of the Bon Appetit recipes are just so amazing.
What no Country Living? But, it's a classic... I get recipes out fitness magazines.
i didnt know there was a food network magazine...i'm all over that.
I have a subscription to Bon Appetit, but occasionally will buy a copy of Gourmet or Saveur.
i like everyday food for several reasons. 1 is the digest size and 2 is the fact that all the recipes are easy and doable even for someone who's not the BEST cook out there.
I like both Gourmet and Bon Appetit, but I don't subscribe to either. I really only get them as an indulgence while traveling
I love Cooking Light, mostly because they always have more in there than just recipes. They have articles on healthy living and other stuff. I also like Bon Appetit, even though the recipes in it are a lot more complicated.
Bon Appétit is my fav!
bon appetit! easy to follow and their recipes rarely call for things i don't have, like a potato ricer(???). i should get a subscription since i pick it up every month anyway.
another vote for Vegetarian Times!
I normally pick up Everyday with Rachael Ray. She sometimes annoys me on TV, but her magazine is fun fluff and has surprisingly yummy recipes. Specific recipes or special occasions, I go to Gourmet or Bon Appetit, however for practical stuff I can make quickly, I go with Rachael or Martha.
I have had a subscription to Cooking Light for over 7 years and wouldn't dream if canceling. They have great seasonal recipes and make a point to include a wide variety of cuisines.
My latest discovery is Cooks Illustrated which is simply amazing!
I've been in the midst of a long time love affair with Cooking Light magazine! I miss it so much!
