I blame my unhealthy college eating choices on the fact that there we were located on top of a hill with miles to the nearest store and the only thing providing sustenance between the hours of 9pm and 6am was a nearby vending machine. I cannot tell you how many papers were finished with a diet coke in one hand and a bag of chips in the other. Imagine how healthy I could have been if there had been, oh say, a vending machine that dispensed healthy treats instead.
YoNaturals is a rapidly expanding network of healthy vending machines called: Yo!Zone and YoThirsty? (which are snacks & drinks). With their distribution circle growing wider by the day, the machines are currently found in some offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, etc. They offer more than 100 types of natural snacks/beverages including: Clif Bars, Vitamin Water, Horizon Organic Milk, Bumble Bars and Stacy's Pita Chips.
After all my vending binges in college, I sort of made a pact to myself to avoid them whenever possible. However, if we had one of these in our office, I know I'd hit it up more often than not.

I love Stacy's Pita Chips!
1This is an excellent idea. I hate seeing candy bars and potato chips in our vending machine here at work. I think this would be especially beneficial for children, too, since let's face it they may not have the most common sense when it comes to making healthy food choices!!
2Oh I would totally use one! I don't use vending machines often but it's hard enough to find "healthy" items like trail mix over king size candy bars, this would be a good tastey alternative.
3I would love to see more of these and less Coke and Pepsi machines, I'd definitely buy from them and wouldn't have to feel guilty about it.
4If there was any way to get the college I work at to get out of their damn contract with Pepsi, I would love to see these machines all over campus. One thing I always wish I had the choice to make was buying milk and this would make it a reality.
5I would love to see these vending machines around ... especially since I'm addicted to Vitamin Water!
6I work in a hospital, and they are trying to introduce healthyier subsititue for a lot of usual vending machine products. They are usually "diet" pops, baked chips, and nuts and stuff, but it's nothing compared to this! I hope they eventually look into something like this, it's MUCH healthier!
7Sounds like something that needs to be put in high schools.
8It's better than candy, that's for sure.
9I'm a fan of food of convenience so this would definitely help me get to a healthier lifestyle.
10hope i see these at my colleges soon!!!! this would help people out a LOT! a lot of people depend on vending machines for sustenance.
11I'm all for healthy alternatives to greasy chips and sugary sodas. I wish we had these at work!!
12that's cool
13oooh! I'm going to bring this up at my internship site, and to my campus administrators. The healthiest thing I can get from the vending machines at either place is a thing of oatmeal with pre-added sugar and slimfast.
Reminds me of the Kaiser Permanente commercial where the world is healthy and everyone rides bikes and vending machines are filled with fruits and veggies... in a perfect world!
14After reading about them in FitSugar, I'm not so sure about the Horizon Milk products, but the rest sound good to me!
15I think it's a great idea.
16I wish we had these at my work!
17u don't see that everyday.
