It seems like we can't get enough cake or chocolate around here - which is okay since the entire internet loves to help out. This time it's a gooey, runny yellow cake with lemon curd and chocolate ganache. I hope there's a slice for me. - Everybody Likes Sandwiches

I think I'd do this without the chocolate ganache. It's sort of overkill.
1what does it mean when something is curd? It grosses me out, as i am sure it shouldn't, because i think of cottage cheese curds or curdles milk.
2sounds delicious! i love lemon, i love chocolate. sounds like the perfect combo to me.
3cravin - i know curd sounds terrible doesn't it? but lemon curd is really great, it's a preserve made from lemons, eggs, sugar and butter - i believe it's called curd because it's a coagulated liquid resembling milk curd - just think about as "lemon jam" - make that "delicious lemon jam"
