Shopping for a couple who recently got married can be difficult because chances are, they've received a lot of kitchen gifts at their wedding. Look for original and creative gifts that wouldn't necessarily be on a registry. A couples cooking class allows them to learn something new together. A subscription to Food and Wine magazine will inspire them to get into the kitchen on a regular basis. Artisan, handcrafted chocolates are a welcome addition to an understocked pantry.

it has to be hard for people to find gifts for newlyweds. my fiance and i are running into that for our wedding since we've lived together for a while and i've had my own place for over 10 years that we have EVERYTHING that one could need for a house. we're just going the route of money - but i think that some of these ideas are great. i'm sure that we'd get a lot of use/enjoyment from a couples cooking class - so that's not a half bad idea!
1I also think that the best gift on here is the couples cooking class. My brother and his wifey cannot cook. They live off of frozen and ramen noodles!
2My hubby and I will take that olive oil pourer thank you very much. That thing is gorgeous.
3Those are great ideas for wedding gifts. I found that linens, nice flatware, and china are my favorite to give. The cooking lessons are a great idea though.
I think the secret to giving to couples who already have a lot of the basics is to look for items that they would like, but would never buy for themselves. If I do choose to give edible gifts, I make them a gift basket so that they still have something to keep after the food is gone.
4The good thing w/ my wedding registry, is that as long as they know who they're shopping for and can tell the clerk, Bed, bBth, & Beyond will automatically strike it off my list so I won't get the same thing. And also, I have a lot of aunts who give me awesome things, like art and care packages with the little things you need, but forget about. They're pretty awesome.
