If you're anything like me, you've got lots of shopping left to do, but little time and a limited budget to work with. That's why, to make both of our lives easier, I've compiled my favorite bargains for under $25.
My friend Jaime who loves the grill will be delighted by this classy oil brush and jar set; Katie, always more of a baker than a cook, can use this cookie press; and Steph, who lived in Europe and loves breakfast, will flip for this steel crepe pan.

Well my Aunt loves baking and last time I saw her, I noticed that some of her pie pans are getting pretty worn with age. But I don't want to just wrap up a boring pie tin and give it to her. So I am making a little apple pie kit. I bought a $13 pie pan with a lid (amazon.com), 5 granny smith apples, and will make the cinnamon/sugar filling. Then just put the apples and spices (in a baggy) inside the pie pan, put on the lid and wrap it up!
1What a cute idea, Tidal! You could even add pie weights and/or a pie crust shield. Awesome low-cost, thoughtful gift!
2I also like the oil jar/brush, Yum. That would be perfect for one of my grill-loving brothers.
I really want the bowl set. A pour spout is such a good thing to have on mixing bowls.
3That cookie press looks pretty awesome.
@TidalWave: I'm making assumptions here, but wouldn't someone who has worn out their pie pans not really need to make apple pie from a kit?
4@tlsgirl: Since those are listed as "pinch" bowls, they are probably too small to do most mixing in. They're probably for mise en place so you can pinch out ingredients while you're cooking.
I do agree that mixing bowls with spouts are useful. I use a set of Kitchen Aid bowls that have spouts. They were under $25...probably make a good addition to this list.
5For a baker, those cookie presses are great. We bought one for my father-in-law and he uses it a lot!
6I'm absolutely obsessed with my cookie press. Mine was $24 from Bed Bath & Beyond, and I use it all the time. Spritz cookies are serious business in my you-can-always-use-more-butter, i'll-have-seconds, german family, so I'm the envy of many ;P
7I love the cookie press!
8After the holidays I'm going to treat myself to a cookie press and crepe pan.
