Well you voted and now the results are in: As part of our Best of 2008 coverage we asked you what your favorite fast-food restaurant is. Although there was no landslide win, the majority (24 percent) chose Subway. The popular sandwich chain has had a busy year — it's introduced flatbread sandwiches, signed on Michael Phelps as spokesman, and partnered with Starbucks.
We love the soft, doughy rolls filled with sandwich fixings, but after much deliberation, we've chosen Arby's as our editor's choice. When it comes to fast food, if fries aren't involved we're not interested. Arby's curly fries are the ultimate guilty pleasure. We love pairing them with the chain's incredible roast beef and cheddar sandwich and topping it off with creamy horseradish sauce. Do you eat at Arby's?

2There used to be an Arby's one town away from me when I was in high school, and we ate there once a week. Their curly fries were awesome!!! Dipped in cheese, YUM! I haven't been to an Arby's in a while, but I'd totally go to one, I like their food!

I enjoy the Marketfresh sandwiches. I probably never would have eaten them in my life but when I was in advertising we tried to get them as a client and were showered in sandwiches and they must have had crack in them or something.
5My husband LOVES Arby's, but I'm not really a fast food person, so I don't usually eat there. If I'm forced to eat fast food, I prefer Subway.

9shoneyjoe, there are no Arby's around me, so I have not experienced them myself, but that line is all I can ever think of!
10I don't think I have ever eaten at an Arby's.
11I like Arbys because they tend to have items no other place has. Think about trying to compare their menu to those of McDonald's, Jack, Carls, ect.
12i can't eat arby's curly fries. i can't even go INTO an arby's anymore.
my first year of college, i got mono, and one night i was feeling OK, but running a low fever. i didn't have a meal plan at school (because the caf's food was barf-tastic), so a friend felt bad and took me out to eat at the local arby's. i wasn't super hungry, so i ate some curly fries.
overnight, my fever spiked (it was between 105 and 106). the next morning i was rushed to the ER for extreme dehydration, and i spent about eight hours hooked up to an IV.
i KNOW the fries didn't make me sick, but the association is still there. just thinking about them makes me shudder. >_<</p> 13
Arby's is my guilty pleasure too, but I only eat there about once a year, if that.

Arby's is ... okay. I do love their curly fries, but that's the only thing on their menu that really endears them to me. I do like that they offer a large variety of options to their customers, but really Sonic is even better (and tastier!) than them in that category too.

17I used to like Arby's and I loved their jamocha milkshakes. But there aren't many good options now that I'm a vegetarian.
18I have never in my life eaten at Arby's. I see a lot more fast food places now that I live down South, so I've seen one, just never been to one. Where I'm originally from, we had only Subway and McDonald's. That's it. Here, it's just Arby's, Zaxby's, McDonalds, Checkers, Sonic, you name it. All on one street pretty much, and then scattered all around.
My bf loves Arby's though.

33when i used to eat meat - i would love going to arby's or roy rogers for their roast beef sandwiches and now i go there just for the fries or for the $1 apps things. i'm a sucker for curly fries!

36When I used to eat fast food I loved Arby's curly fries! I haven't eaten fast food in 6-7 years though. Sometimes it's tempting to eat fast food because my boyfriend eats it every now and then (esp. Wendy's), but I've gone this long without it and I think I'll keep it that way. This definitely has me craving curly fries though... haha
37It's funny how polarizing Arby's is. Arby's is like a guilty pleasure for me with the curly fries and the beef n cheddar.
I probably would have picked Arby's in the poll because I don't care for the other options. Whataburger is my fast food chain of choice for burgers and chicken tenders.

40Gross! The last time I ate at Arby's was in 1996. I got sick after eating there a couple of times, and that was enough to convince me to never go back. Arby's sauce definitely does not taste just as good the second time.
41chick-fil-a is way better than both subway and arby's by about a trillion times! Most of their menu is really healthy and all of it is delicious.

44Ew! I have eaten at Arby's a total of ONE time. And I will NEVER eat there again. I ended up spending that night leaning over the toilet from food poisoning.
