Chestnut Clobbers Hamburger Contest
2008 belonged to Joey Chestnut; his win at the Wing Bowl earlier was a mere drop in his bucket of accomplishments. At the Krystal hamburger-eating championship in Chattanooga, TN, Chestnut defeated his longtime nemesis Takeru Kobayashi yet again. He claimed the $20,000 prize by consuming 93 hamburgers in eight minutes.
