The headlines took a turn for the worse when last month, an engineer at Nokia-Siemens in Gurgaon, India, also died during a company-sponsored pastry eating contest. We stopped to ask whether countries should consider banning eating contests altogether. If not, sponsors should have medical experts standing by. The sport of competitive eating, after all, isn't worth the loss of lives.
