If you have a weakness for retro wares, then perhaps you'll want to mount this Restoration Hardware Starr Bottle Opener ($4) on your kitchen wall.
The upside: Never having to hunt for a bottle opener again, and it's cute!
Downside: Will it make me look like a capital D drinker?

awesome! I thought I'd hate it, but it's cute, AND practical. And not too 'gimmicky' retro, which a lot of kitchen stuff can be.
1I love this and I also love those wall mountable wine openers -- you just stick the bottle in and move the lever up and down and voila, an opened bottle of wine in like 1.4 seconds.
2I love it. But I also bought myself a bottle opener disguised as a key and a bottle opener disguised as a belt, so I'm not exactly one to talk about looking like a capital D drinker now, am I?
3Got one in my mountain kitchen. Works great and has been there so long (20 years) that it really is retro.
4I, too, have one in my kitchen - Coca Cola brand, it was a gift and I love it.
5LOVE it! Reminds me of a time when I was a wee fuzzle. My Dad had one of those oblong metal freezer-style soda fridges in the back of his office. I don't know what was more fun, the taste of grape Crush in a frosty glass bottle, or the "fwoosh" sound that was made when the metal cap was popped!
6I'd totally put on in the garage, where we keep our 2nd refrigerator for sodas and beer. When the husband and his friends come by, they can pop off their caps outside!
7cuteness...and only 4 bucks...can't be beat!!
8I like it but I would never put it in my kitchen. And it is a good price.
9My parents have one at our vacation house. I love it because we never have to rummage around in a drawer for the long lost bottle opener.
10My husband and I have one like this that we, uh, "borrowed" from a crappy hotel room.
11Oldie but a goodie.
Also, be sure you attach this to a stud.
12hates it!
13i'm on the fence about this one. i like things that are retro but i dont' know if this is one that i would pick up myself.
14I love these, but would not buy this particular one. I don't like that cheap die-cast look to the metal. I MUCH prefer Rejuvenation's version, which I have at home:
