Iron Chef has produced so much worldwide success that I'm not surprised it's spun off into Iron Chef America and a Nintendo Wii video game. But wines? Explains the wines' website: "It takes a special culinary expert to achieve the title of Iron Chef. Such is true with Iron Chef wine."
My only regret is that the bottle labels don't include a picture of the show's venerable chairman biting into a red bell pepper. Would you pay to take one of these wines — they come in four varieties: Pinot Grigio, Chianti, Chardonnay, and Merlot — home with you to drink while watching the TV show?

the labels are hideous. ...but if the wine is cheap and tasty, then why not?
1I highly doubt any Iron chef has anything to do with these wines -- I also highly doubt that they are any good.

3I don't care if the wine is good or not, the packaging looks like it's an energy drink. I would be embarrassed to serve this to my friends.
4I like the Iron Chef Sesame Chicken sauce for stir fry but I have never tried the wine.It needs a new label!
5i'm undecided - i don't know how i feel about an iron chef brand, but i can't say that i wouldn't try it anyway. you don't need to have a glamorous name for a wine to be good right?

12I'd try it just for S****s and giggles, but I don't think I'd keep any in the wine rack. It's tacky, cheesy and for some reason I think it'd be classier with Japanese text on the bottle instead of english.

15I'd rather go to my local wine shop and get a GREAT bottle of wine. It's not about price, it's about understanding your palate and which wines you gravitate towards. Most of these generically branded and marketed wines are for people who don't know much about wine. This is not a slam, it's a statement.
Right now, I'm particularly in love with the Ribera del Duero (Spain) and highly recommend the Emilio Moro 2005!!!!!! But then, I also love Priorat, Aglianico (Italy), Barolo, Cotes du Rhone, Bourgogne, Petite Syrah, Dolcetto di Dogliani, Primativo, Barbaresco, the Napa Cabs, etc. I love discovering tasty wines by tasting and doing some research.
