I'm normally a huge fan of alternative napkin rings. However, I don't know how I feel about these napkin rings that have a bud vase attached. I'm sure they look lovely resting on a plate and would be wonderfully pretty at a wedding, but once you remove the napkin and start to eat, what are you supposed to do with the napkin ring and flower? Place it on the table? How stable are they? I can see a dinner table dirtied with water stains and crushed flowers. What do you think? Are they fabulous or not functional?

Those just look *way* too precious. I also don't like clear napkin rings, so that's out too. And you're right - stability seems like it would be an issue after napkin removal.
They kind of look tacky to me -- maybe it's the clear plastic, or the oddness of the height of the flowers.. either way, the look won't be on my table.
Hm, not keen on these either. I think they're unnececessarily "futzy" and fiddly - I much rather see a single bloom in an elegant vase, or in the case of the Christmas rings it would be equally pretty and more tasteful to see a twig of fir bound up in red ribbons laying flat against each napkin.
These are like some wierd little "soldiers" standing up around the table and I think it would make a fully dressed table look a bit busy and imbalanced.
I agree with finzup. Too tacky for my taste.
I'm not too fond of them either. And they seem like they would just make a big mess once you take your napkin out of the ring.
i'd want these on my wedding
i'm with you - the napkin ring itself is fine but with the bud vase - it's just too much.
Yeah, I immediately thought they looked way too putzy for my tastes. If you want flowers on your table, put them in a regular vase on the table and be done with it.
One word - Tacky
I'd be worried about some kid eating the flowers!
But definitely too much for my liking. maybe with a very simple setting and very simple flowers it could look fantastic, but it would clutter up anything else.
Eh I don't know...
It looks like some kind of growth. Messes up the aesthetics somehow.
Maybe if the holder was clear and it was a discrete small flat flower or something...that just looks...bulky and congested. But I guess it's useful for decoration for the table after the napkins are removed.
Tacky.
tacky.
Yet another tacky.
OMg I love! Flowers are such an integral part of weddings.
Not very practical or pretty, but creative! Only certain stems would fit & only certain flowers would look good in this setting. I would opt for a small flower and greenery attached to the napkin ring with a tiny bow. Some flowers will last for an hour or two without water...that's long enough for an event.
