Tasting Starbucks Full Leaf Tea Lattes
Consumers are bouncing back from a harried 2008 with the firm resolve to refocus, rejuvenate, and restore their well-being. Coffee chain
Starbucks, in what may be a fortuitous move after a
bumpy year, is hoping to capitalize on this trend with its new line of better-for-you tea drinks that include full leaf tea lattes. To see what I thought of the new drinks, keep reading.

i'm a die hard tazo tea girl from Starbucks but i don't know about tea lattes. i guess i just like my tea to be basic and with no fuss...but i have seen quite a few people ordering these new drinks.
1I have ordered the Vanilla tea; It was just Okay. There was nothing exciting about it and it made my stomach hurt. I had to add a few packs of sugar to make it sweet. I had a free coupon so I didn't really lose anything but I may try it again.
2Although I like milk with my black tea, this "tea latte" sounds a bit fussy to me. I might try it as a one-time treat but I doubt this is something I would buy on a regular basis.
3i don't drink coffee and love their soy chai lattes. i was distracted by the vanilla rooibos latte...which i mispronounced (ha!) thankfully the cashier didn't feel the need to correct me to my face. It was boring. flavor left something to be desired and it was just as much $$ as the chai.
Not doing that again...
4I had the London Fog yesterday and it was nothing more than milk with your tea. So you too can get them to add milk for you for only a dollar or two more than a cup of tea.
5I was majorly disappointed with the new lattes. They're a great idea, and I love the silken infusers, but the amount of tea in one bag is actually enough for an entire pot of tea--way too much for a simple cup.
The rooibos, which is normally my favorite tea, ended up tasting like a mouthful of tobacco because of the excess tea.
6I actually liked the Vanilla Rooibos one. I love the strong taste of the tea combined with soymilk. I think you really have to be a tea lover to like these though. Being Asian, I really don't mind strong tea.
7I tried the London Fog one a few days ago. What a rip off! Way too much milk (and I love me some milk tea) and it was just Earl Grey tea. What really bothered me was that it seems like they steep the tea bag in milk. I understand it is a latte, but that's just weird.
8I love coffee drinks of all types. They are one of the greatest treats that I can give myself when I'm feeling down. However, I recently gave up coffee and caffeine. So I'm thrilled that Starbucks is offering a caffeine-free, tea latte. Tea lattes are not as good as coffee lattes (not even close!), but they still taste like a treat. I like mine with soy milk.
9I've had London Fogs for quite a few years now and usually they're better than the ones that Starbucks has started offering. Done right they're a real treat, which I always odd for me because I'm not at all a fan of Earl Grey tea any other way.
10I had the Vanilla one the other day. It was ok, but I like the one at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf better
11I really like the London Fog. I'm trying to stay away from coffee these days, so the tea latte is a great alternative for me.
12I like the Green Tea Latte and the Vanilla Rooibos, Both of these have a lot of flavor. Think they are a fun alternative to a latte. Sometimes a girl has to have a change. The Black Tea latte was just too blah. Haven't tried the Chai Latte yet but suspect it would be good. Maybe I just like the sweet lattes.
13I had the Vanilla Rooibos the other day and loved it. Mmmm!!!
