Let's hope Bobby Flay is ready for his latest throwdown: a lawsuit from his restaurant employees.
New York-based employees of Bold Food, the celebrity chef's restaurant group, have filed a labor violations lawsuit, alleging that the company cheated its employees out of wages. In the suit, filed late Thursday night in New York federal court, the employees claim the company engaged in improper tip-pooling practices, didn't pay correct overtime wages, and failed to reimburse workers who bought their own uniforms. Although the food personality has yet to comment on the lawsuit, I hope he's able to come clean on the issue.
With multiple Food Network shows, a slew of restaurants, several cookbooks, a brand-new Sirius radio show, and other endorsements, it's clear that the celebrity chef has his hands full. What do you think of the lawsuit?

Birkenstock
i think that there's probably more to it than what we know - so i can't say one thing or another. i hope that the allegations aren't right - but we just don't have that information.
1Unfortunately, it happens all the time in the restaurant industry. Most employees just don't take legal action. Being that he is a celebrity chef, he probably had no idea what was going on in his restaurants.
2At the restaurant where I worked, these same things happened and more. We were told, "Don't like it? Work somewhere else, if they'll hire you."
3Oh no. I just ate at Mesa Grill the other day!
4As some one else said, this type of thing isn't uncommon at restaurants. That's why I stopped working in them.
5This is nonsensical, every single food joint does this. There is nothing wrong with it. If they did not 70% of the restaurants would close, and the rest would barely be profitable. This is a horrible travesty on the part of the judicial system. They allow illegal immigrants to rome about and use medical facilities without fearing reprisal. They allow them to rent, they allow them to sue. But if someone gives them a job, they are criminals, if someone rents to them they are criminals?
6If Bobby was not a celebridae, would they would move this action, but a case of profiteering
