Just in time for BBQ season, BeefEater has announced the arrival of their gold plated grill. With a price tag of $12,500 - each piece is individually plated in 24 carat gold - this BBQ reminds me of something you would see at a rapper's house on MTV's Cribs. It's a one of a kind barbeque that has six high output burners, a wok burner, a roasting hood complete with viewing window and warming rack, a quartz ignition, a vaporizer grid, and a reflector system (can anybody tell me the exact use of those last three?). I love it, but what do you think, is it too much? Gold barbeque: love it or hate it?

8What a waste of money, but it is flashy for those who like to remind others they even spend the dough on things like grills.
Splurging aside, I heard a news story today about buying a new grill, and they said the only really thing that matters are the actual grills. The best are the ones that are heavy porcelain, coated cast iron or stainless steel. Doesn't matter the price or the size, just that you have well made grills. Also, I guess the burner is the first to go, so the warranty on that should be a factor in buying a grill. I know I learned something for future grill buying!
