I've always looked forward to the Super Bowl. Not because I'm a huge football fan, but because I'm a foodie. It's an excuse to unashamedly devour nachos, chili and buffalo wings. Anything excessive, spicy, unhealthy, and cheesy is welcome on the Super Bowl table.
This year I'm thinking about serving either an Italian menu (with pepperoni pizza dip and Italian sausage meatball sandwiches) or a more traditional menu (with guacamole and cheddar beer soup).
How about you? What's on your Super Bowl menu? If you aren't cooking, what do you plan on eating while you watch the game?

Not watching the super bowl this year. I don't need an excuse to make "fun" foods. Then it's really a lot of fun!!
1WOW that picture makes me really want nachos!
2Making buffalo chicken dip!
3well i'm having knee surgery in the next couple days so i'll be laid up on my couch being a true couch potato during the superbowl which means that i'll be eating pizza and just chilling with anyone that manages to come to my house
4i'll be making the buffalo chicken cheese dip that's posted on the site. it's SO good!!
5You know how I am with all you can eat bacon wrapped hot dogs. I think I'll throw in some Hog Island oysters, raw and baked casino.
6Lot's of chocolate, and nachos. Yummy.
7Nachos, baby!
8Since our team is in the super bowl this year I want a very low maintenance menu. I don't need to be heating and serving stuff while my guys are on the field. Any suggestions?
9I'm lookin to steal a crockpot from my house and bring it to my boyfriends - I want nothing else but fatty fatty queso made from ground beef, velveeta, onion, salsa. So, so so so so good. And simple. And man I'm hungry now.
10I'm probably not watching the Super Bowl. But if I do, I'll probably make a pizza so it'll be more diet friendly.
That picture is really, really making me want nachos!
11buffalo wings (spicy and sweet), soft pretzels, potato wedges, taco dip, pepperoni dip, chocolate chip cookies and guinness cupcakes.
12Buffalo wings might be hard to come by...

Well I bought my 3 packages of wings last week for a relatively decent price...
14shoneyjoe: I know I read about that yesterday, crazy right?!
macgirl: what about starting with guacamole and salsa and then having a giant pot of chili simmering on the stove? You can fill bowls of it during commercial or halftime.
15I'll be making the buffalo chicken cheese dip that PartySugar wrote about.
16i'm vegan so i always make veggie chili (crockpot) chips, salsa, guac, hummus, pita, tofu wings ... my team isn't in the bowl this year (boo) so i'll actually be eating this year!
17Thanks Party, Guac is an excellent suggestion! I make a mean bowl of Guacamole too. I might try the buffalo chicken cheese dip as well. This year's super bowl will be extra challenging as I have a 1 year old as well. Damn you Steelers, you could have waited another year!
18Nachos but I doubt I'll watch. Ha.
19hummus & mixed veggies! probably with a nice piping hot bowl of chili & a crusty bread for dipping
