I love bacon but not in my sweets!

I love both. It's an odd pairing though. How does it taste, anybody know??

I'd be willing to try this out. I love salty sweet together and am a bacon fiend.

Weird is the word here. Even if I ate bacon, I can't imagine I'd ever eat a bacon cupcake.

I just...can't. Yikes.

I had a converation with a guy last week about cooking and he said he adds bacon to almost everything. I was being the dork I am this week saying "add bacon to it" whenever anyone was cooking anything. I think I'm going to have to try this one just to see their faces when I say it's bacon!

Umm maybe if it were a cornbread cupcake with southern gravy for icing and bacon bits as sprinkles... But in no other universe is bacon going on my cupcake.

I eat bacon daily, and I love cupcakes, but I don't think I could ever stomach the two combined.

I'm also a firm believer that life is better with bacon. It's the only way I can get my kid to eat his veggies!

I'd try them if someone else made them, but I wouldn't do it myself. I remember my grandma always saved bacon grease to make molasses cookies, so I don't think bacon with sweets is ridiculous...but still too wary to make them myself!

Hehehe.. They probably taste a lot better than most people think. Southern biscuits made with bacon grease have a hint of sweetness from the bacon, believe it or not.

Thats why I call bacon "the candybar of meats". Its true!

But yeah, I've had bacon candy before, and bacon toffee. Its not that bad, actually.

Yeah... thanks, but no thanks on a bacon cupcake. And as for garlic cupcakes, I've had garlic ice cream before at one of my favorite restaurants ("The Garlic Restaurant") and it was almost unbearable, despite how much I love garlic. I'm staying away from the savory and sticking to the sweet.

I'm sure it's probably not THAT bad. BUT why on earth even go there??! eck!
