On last Thursday's episode of Hell's Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay showed the chefs how to shuck scallops. I found the brief lesson to be incredibly informative, as I'd never shucked a scallop before. Have you?

I don't really want to learn how to do a scallop, because I don't feel like I'll need to, but I really want to learn to shuck an oyster.
1since i don't eat fish, i haven't ever shucked, but i've seen it done a million times. i guess that it's a skill to be able to do it quickly.
2Do clams count?
I really have no desire to learn how to shuck an oyster or scallop. All I can envision is clumsy me slicing my palms open.
3Shellfish+me=
4I've shucked oysters, but never scallops. It's on my list of things to do.
5Never shucked anything!
6Don't eat 'em. The only thing I've ever shucked was corn.
7Instead of a protective glove, I'd need a protective body suit and a helmet!
8I bet I'd suck at shucking.
9Nope...when I needed shucking done I find someone else to do it for me...(insert shifty look here! lol!)
10There should be an option for "I eat shellfish but don't plan to shuck them"
