Recently I received an email from a Sugar gal with a picture of this Le Creuset cast iron, enameled heart-shaped casserole. The caption read, "I mean seriously. How many days a year would you use this?"
While she obviously hates this cooking dish, I politely disagree. I happen to enjoy heart-inspired kitchenware year-round, and could imagine making special meals for my (non-existent) sweetheart any night of the week.
How do you feel about it?

I can't imagine spending $250-$350ish (Cdn) for a cutesy pot...that's a bit much.
1It's adorable. And Le Creuset is the best.
2i'm all for holiday themed things, but i think that this is a bit campy. there's something to be said about maybe having a cake pan that's heart shaped, but this - it's one of those things that's just a bit un-necessary in my eyes.
3I love it, but I wouldn't pay that much for something I'd probably use as a decoration 99% of the time.
4I adore all things La Creuset but that's far too twee for my liking.
5I like more subtle designs and patterns when it comes to my kitchen utensils and accessories.
I find it looks a bit too childish. If i were to buy a Le Creuset I'd put my money on one of their timeless more classic pieces like the "cocottes".

7My mom has this pot and totally loves it. It sits on our stovetop at all times and it gets used for everything, regardless of whether it's vday or not!
8I think it's adorable, but wouldn't spend the money on it, and I think it would be more of a decoration piece than anything.
9I wouldn't spend that much on something like that. If I wanted a Le Creuset pot, I'd buy a plain round one that isn't so cutesy. My sister got a heart-shaped waffle iron for her wedding and she uses it maybe once a year.
10When it comes to Le Creuset, it could be shaped like a steaming pile of dog poop and I would love it!

12My friend has this on her wedding registry- I personally think its a little too pricey for what it is, BUT you can get it at Macy's for $150 (I think its on sale for Presidents' Day this weekend).

However... I'd never spend half that much on a pot.

17This Le Creuset piece isn't one that I would use; however, you can truly use a pot such as this anytime. The Le Creuset dutch oven is one of the most important pieces of my kitchen equipment. I think they are the best for sauces and for traditional roasting, etc. They are worth their weight and gold and are workhorses. No kitchen is complete without it! Once you've used LC, you understand why you see the great chefs using them.
I bought my first LC dutch oven @ a used gourmet cook shop in San Francisco and still use it! If you keep your eye out, you can sometimes find LC products @ TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning if you don't want to purchase them from Macy's or Williams Sonoma!
18I love it, but I can see her point about not using it very often. It would take up a lot of space for something you only use once a year.
19I love my Le Creuset cast iron but I don't like this cutey shape. I'd feel weird serving a formal or serious dinner out of a heart casserole.
20I had to say love it because I own one and love the heart shape, the real reason I bought it. But I hardly use it.
