In all of my Top Chef excitement, I've completely forgotten that The Next Food Network Star starts this Sunday, June 3. Word is the show is going to kick things up a notch in order to compete with other food-related reality shows. - Food Network Addict

Liz Carine
Tom Tailor
La Senza
Im pretty pleased with Guy Fieri, so I hope the new star is equally fun and vibrant.
1I agree, Crispet. I love Guy Fieri...they do too obviously. He has two shows that are on all the time. The previous winners are only alloted 30 min on Sun morning - they are terribly boring though!
2Yeah its not that much of a win if you get a time slot when next to no one watches you. Then again, I was watching Sandra Lee's Chefography and from the start her budget was uber small and she paid out of pocket to redesign her set every episode. BUT shes kinda obsessive about it being pretty and matchy matchy each time. But I think she is likable and has done well for herself. Lets just hope these new contenders have something special like Guy.
3Did Guy's show just come out? I watch FN frequently, and just saw him recently on that "Dives, Diners, and Drive-thrus," sorry, not positive about the name. Anyway, I really enjoyed him and really thought it was one of the freshest shows on FN right now. I can't wait for the new season!
4lexichloe, Guy's other show is called Guy's Big Bite. Here's the schedule and some of his recipes: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_gi
5Thanks, Ladee! I'm going to check it out...
