gaucholoco has got it right! total excuse to drink the day away! I always find myself picking savory, though sometimes I regret is when I see my friend's waffles, pancakes, and french toast!
I love both. My favorite brunch place serves complimentary little fried doughnut bites drizzled in honey, so I order something savory and enjoy both! They also have a $10 bottomless mimosa
deal, doesn't get much better than that!
I tend towards sweet for breakfast . . . but brunch I go for savory more. Then again, I'm usually up and hungry right away on weekends, so I eat breakfast. Even if friends ask me to meet them
for "brunch" it is so close to lunch time that I eat lunch (hence the preference for savory during "brunch time").
Is it really sad that I like my porridge for breakfast so much that I'm not really into brunch, even on the weekends? Yes. It is. Never mind. As much as I love blueberry pancakes and maple syrup, I'm still leaning toward savoury. Egg
windows, fresh bread and butter, cheese scones. Yum.
I like dishes that represent both. The last restaurant brunch menu that I created had a Savory Stuffed French Toast: brioche stuffed with bacon, sausage, green onions, tomatoes and white
cheddar, topped with Honey Jalapeno Glaze. Sweet, savory and spicy and one of my top sellers!
when ever i go out for brunch, i always aim for the more savory types, however i stick to eggs (egg whites) and tomato slices rather than the meats since i'm a veggie and i don't really go
for the potatoes since i'm trying to be healthier.
