For those of you who believe nothing in life is free, you're wrong. To celebrate National Pancake Day breakfast big-name IHOP is giving away buttermilk pancakes gratis in participating stores. Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Feb. 24, diners can get three free pancakes — no coupon or purchase necessary.
This is the fourth year IHOP has celebrated National Pancake Day with this event, which it uses to raise money for community charities. In return for free pancakes, the chain asks that you consider making a donation to its charity, the Children's Miracle Network, or another local philanthropy. 2No, the closest one in Queens to me is super ghetto and has lines for up to 3 hours waiting on weekends. Which is sad because i went to an IHOP when I was in Atlantic City with the bf and realized I liked their food.

10I wish they'd call this what it is, which is Mardi Gras. (The tradition used to be that you had pancakes or waffles on Mardi Gras to use up all the butter, because you didn't use it during Lent and it would go bad otherwise.) This is a war on Lent! Jesus is the reason for the season! (Just kidding, but really ... call it what it is.)
