Well, Fabio wasn't lying when he told us, "unfortunately, you're going to see my face a lot." When we last spoke to the charismatic Top Chef contestant, he mentioned that he had an offer for a TV show and a line of food coming out. Now the star himself has confirmed to at least one source that he will be starring in his own TV show. Although he stayed mum on the concept, Fabio promised that more details would be public by April.
Additionally, Dr. Oetker, one of Europe's top frozen pizza brands, is launching its Ristorante line in America, and has called on the reality TV personality to be the spokesperson for the thin-crust pizza. "We feel Fabio is the perfect voice for the brand," Dr. Oetker USA said in a statement. "He has an incredible personality and a real passion for cooking."
The Florence-born chef, who will tour with the pizza line this Summer, also recalls the frozen pizza from his childhood. "Growing up in Italy, my mom often had Dr. Oetker's products in the home," Fabio said in the same statement. "I'm excited to help introduce Ristorante frozen pizzas to American households."
I'm curious to know if you think Fabio could be a lasting food figure. Do you plan to try the frozen pizzas he's hawking, and will you watch his new TV show?

Emilio Pucci
I would try them just because of Fabio!
1Yes, I will eat the pizza just because he says to buy them. Yes, I'll definitely be watching his show and praying that Stefan goes on sometime.
2Awww I LOVE FABIO!
3I can wait for the show, and yes, I will probably try the pizza because he endorses it...
and of course by I can wait, I meant CAN'T.
4I will definitely watch the show! He was my fave Top Chef contestant in a while.
5Awww I loved Fabio! His comments on the show cracked me up. I'll definitely try to tune into his show or set the DVR to record it.
6I will definitely try the pizza because of Fabio's endorsement! And I'll watch him on anything, his personality was one of the main reasons I watched this last season of Top Chef!
7We've had the Dr.Oetker Ristorante pizzas in Canada for years. My family swears by them - so to speak. It's the only frozen pizzas we buy
8Before he wh*red himself out I wish he would have established himself as a chef first rather than a TV personality.
Cheers to Fabio, I guess. Way to strike when the iron is hot. He was definitely one of my favorite people to watch on the show. He could have served fried monkey butt on an empty clam shell and I would still have watched him.
9i LOVE these frozen pizzas!! they're def the best frozen pizza on the market. it's brilliant that they're coming to the states too. YUM!
10I became addicted to those pizzas when I was in Europe a year ago. I don't like frozen pizza, but I just loved a pesto one they had. I'm going back to Europe in a week and I can't wait to have one of those.
11Fabio!!!!
12I'll definitely try it -- I love pizza & love Fabio. He has so much personality!
13To whoever said he is wh*ring himself out - remember he mentioned repeatedly that his mother is sick and he needs money to help her. Dr Oetker pizzas are pretty tasty (I live in the UK right now and they are everywhere!) and it's a respectable product for a European to endorse.
I think it's silly to go on a TV show and not take further opportunities presented to you. I respect Fabio more for doing this than for people in past seasons who have neither done more TV nor become top restaurant chefs.
14Also - there is an Italian chef pretty much on TV daily here in the UK named Gino D'Acampo. He is very popular and I suspect they are looking at Fabio as the US version:

i'm not at all surprised that he's got this TV thing in the works and that he's a spokesperson. i feel like he'll do a great job, and i wouldn't be surprised if he wins fan favorite tonight too.
16I too am a huge Fabio fan! I'm sure I will tune in to see more of him.
17I will definitely watch a fabio show.
18OMG!!! I was so bummed when he was kicked off of TC. I LOVE Fabio!!! I'd definitely watch it. I'm his biggest fan!
19He's got a cookbook coming out also, and I will be buying that too! I think it goes beyond his smile and good looks though, he is accessible as a chef; you honestly feel as if you could learn something from him and he wouldn't mind teaching you, which is something I wouldn't feel from most of the other contestants.
20ag, I loved fabio! I will def. try dr. oeteker's pizza.
21Having just ate at his Cafe Fireneze in Moorpark last Friday and having the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Fabio, I would watch his show and buy his pizza. He is charming and his food is wonderful.
22Oh, man. A frozen pizza that an Italian chef endorses? You know I'll be pigging out once they hit the frozen food aisle.
23living in germany, dr. oetker's is actually my favorite frozen pizza and YAY for fabio!
24Can't go wrong with this pick. Fabio is the winner of Top Chef, no matter what. He is so cute, and has a great personality, and who could resist his accent?! If he had a show, I would watch it in a nano second, no matter what it was about...interviewing food habits of Nascar drivers, whatever, Fabio could make it HOT! I would eat his pizza any day.
