I love this so much I don't know where to begin. There's a sandwich place in Brooklyn called Papa Lima (go! if you're nearby), that has a sandwich with chips on it.
my brother does this - he'll put french fries on his burgers, chips on his sandwiches, and even used left over mashed potatoes, or potatoes au gratin or roasted potatoes when he makes a
sandwich of leftovers. i have never understood it, though, it just makes more sense to enjoy it on the side and make the meal last longer.
Yes! And I'm so happy to see others do it to, because no one I know does it and they all think I'm weird. My favorite chips to use is Baked Lays...mmm, I want one now.
I have been trying to eat healthier so I haven't eaten a sandwich in a long time! I used to always put kettle cooked salt and vinega chips on my sandwiches, The best sandwich ever is domestic
ham, american cheese, mayo, tomato, and nacho cheese doritos!!!! It is the worst thing ever for you but it really hits the spot!!!
In school when we would get a deli sandwich it would come with chips and since there was nothing on it but the meat and cheese you have to add flavor somehow, chips it is, so a plain deli
sandwich is the best.
I actually don't think I've ever tried this! Maybe I'm still scarred by my old roommate, who would make sandwiches out of white bread, mustard, and a handful of Lays potato chips and that's
it. They'd be like 3 inches thick and he got crumbs everywhere.
I haven't done this in a long time but boy is it good! Salt and Vinegar is definitely the best, Do I get to eat my chips if I walk 2 miles to get them Lucky23?
My favorite comfort food as a kid was peanut butter, grape jelly and nacho doritos on white bread. Something about it just worked! But I don't eat chips or white bread anymore so I haven't
done this in years.
People do that? I have never thought about that before. Now I feel like I've
been living on a different planet. And I want to move to the other planet!!!
Only if the sandwich has a really soft inside, like tuna or chicken salad; I like to go for maximum texture contrast. Otherwise I prefer my chips on the outside. The best is shredded chicken
salad with Tim's jalepeno potato chips. To die for!
My mom, who's Chinese, would always do this with our Tuna sandwiches when we were little. I have no idea why, but I just always thought it was a Chinese thing, but I guess not..
yummy!! It's good to know I'm not the only one who does this. People always look at me like a freak when I put chips on my sandwich, I think people are freaks who dont do that. My favs are
Cool Ranch Doritos or Sour Cream and Onion.
I don't really eat chips much, so I don't do the chip sandwich thing. I had a friend in grade school who always put Doritos on her bologna sandwiches and I always thought it was the weirdest
thing.
not my thing...i'd rather have them on the side.
Lucky23: you can buy baked real potato chips that are lightly salted that are only 120 calories for 20 chips. they're healthy and delicious, and make a healthy and delicious side dish.

3Never tried it. Sounds interesting though..
4I've never tried it but the sandwich in the picture looks SO good so if you made me one just like it, I'd be more than willing to give it a go.
5If you've never tried it, start with this one: baguette, cream cheese, smoked salmon, black pepper, and salt&vinegar crisps!

7I've never actually had the option to have a sandwich with chips on it. I think I would like it but I guess it would depend on the filling/chip mix.
8Yes! And I'm so happy to see others do it to, because no one I know does it and they all think I'm weird. My favorite chips to use is Baked Lays...mmm, I want one now.
9Well, I'm not much of a sandwich eater and I definitely do not like potato chips.
10In my opinion, a sandwich (or a hotdog) isn't complete w/o chips inside!!!!!!
11I like to take the leftover Thanksgiving turkey, mayo, cranberry sauce, and regular Lays inbetween some bread. Yum!

14Chips on tuna sammiches are heaven.
I also enjoy mac an cheese on my tuna sammiches so maybe I'm just weird.

16Oh my goodness, yes! Most definitely.
17Dear Americans - potato chips are not a side dish. Please put down the chips and go ride your bike.
18Yes! Especially Doritos or pretzels.
19Try putting cheetos on a tuna sandwich. it will change your life!
20I do this all the time! I love the crunch factor. I've been to Papa Lima. Sandwiches are like $8 or $9.
21I actually don't think I've ever tried this! Maybe I'm still scarred by my old roommate, who would make sandwiches out of white bread, mustard, and a handful of Lays potato chips and that's it. They'd be like 3 inches thick and he got crumbs everywhere.

26My favorite comfort food as a kid was peanut butter, grape jelly and nacho doritos on white bread. Something about it just worked! But I don't eat chips or white bread anymore so I haven't done this in years.
27I love chips on my sandwiches! In fact I had chips on my tuna fish salad sandwich for lunch today because it needed a little crunch!
28People do that? I have never thought about that before.

30MMm... good ol KC Masterpiece BBQ potato chips with PB on whole wheat bread was staple for my lunch when I was growing up.
31Nope. I like mine on the side. I also can't stand fries in sandwiches/burgers either! No, no, no!
32My mom, who's Chinese, would always do this with our Tuna sandwiches when we were little. I have no idea why, but I just always thought it was a Chinese thing, but I guess not..
33i eat chips in between bites of my sandwich =] not inside of it necessarily
34yummy!! It's good to know I'm not the only one who does this. People always look at me like a freak when I put chips on my sandwich, I think people are freaks who dont do that. My favs are Cool Ranch Doritos or Sour Cream and Onion.
35I did this sometimes when I was little because I needed some texture/crunch in my sandwiches, but I haven't done it in years.
36I did walk the two miles and made a BLT with a little salt and vinegar chips, so good!! will also be going to the gym tomorrow!
37ive had just chips stuffed between plain white bread. yumm
38as a dare i once at a jelly, potato chips and turkey sandwich, now it's one of my favorites.
39I don't really eat chips much, so I don't do the chip sandwich thing. I had a friend in grade school who always put Doritos on her bologna sandwiches and I always thought it was the weirdest thing.
40I am a big fan of this, I like bologna, mayo, cheese, and potato chips....

I like Sour Cream & Onion chips on a slice of cheese pizza. As for sandwiches, I like salad dressing.
46Yes! I had chips in my sandwich today.
474 people chose "I don't eat sandwiches." Huh?
