Earlier this week I had the pleasure of meeting Tito Beveridge, the creator of Tito's vodka. Before meeting Tito, I'd never heard of the Texas-based American vodka company. However, I was impressed with Tito's ambition — before getting into the spirits business, he was a geophysicist, oil driller, and mortgage broker — and pleasantly surprised by his vodka's pure, bite-free flavor. The handmade corn vodka is distilled six times in an old-fashioned pot still. This sort of still is typically used for making fine single malt scotches and high-end cognacs, so naturally it provides the vodka's incredible smoothness. At $18 a bottle, the best thing about Tito's is that it's a premium-style vodka that won't break the bank.
The worst thing about this exceptionally clean vodka is that it's very easy to drink, which could potentially be dangerous! Have you ever sipped Tito's vodka?

4As a Bloody Mary addict, I like this, Yum! Could you also review some more artisanal vodkas? A very good one is from Portland, OR-- http://newdealdistillery.com/. Their Hot Monkey flavor is amazing--no need to add Tabasco to this one.

9Who writes this? Tito's has been around for a long time. If Trader Joe's stocks it then you would think they would have noticed it before. I've enjoyed Tito's for years and I'm not from Texas. It's distilled 5 times and is super smooth. Next week maybe you'll discover Patron Tequila (yuck).

13When I showed my bf this article, he told me a story of a time he was house sitting for an older lady. She wlecomed him to help himself to her vast liquor selection but said, "You can drink anything, but my Tito's vodka." Must be pretty good!

18Oh yeah, this is a great vodka! My brother recommended it to me years ago and I always have a bottle of this in my liquor cabinet.
19Tito's is great stuff. There's another wonderful American-made vodka called Twenty 2 Vodka that just got released in Maine only (so far).
If you're in Maine check it out. Otherwise, ask your local establishment if they can get it.
