i love ramen! as a college student, it's my go - to food when my wallet is low and my hunger is high

4I love ramen...you have to go to a ramen restaurant in Japan to truly appreciate its goodness! the instand noodles we have here in the states are NOTHING compared to the real ones. They are very sophisticated in flavor and often times not that bad for you (if they are made from fresh ingredients).
5Oh Dragon Ramen, I miss you. Always the best food at 5AM after an all-nighter in Osaka.... Although, hands down, best regional ramen I tasted was in Sapporo

11When I was growing up every week we had soup and noodles one night for dinner. A plate of ramen and a bowl of clam chowder soup, lol. I try not to eat it too much because it is so bad for you but I think I might go make some for lunch, lol.

ramen is not "junk"! instant noodles can be considered "junk" but not real ramen!
real ramen is hand made and fresh! i'm loving that i have a few options for fresh ramen in vancouver now, but nothing can compare to the cheap & fresh stuff you find anywhere in japan!
(chinese ramen is also amazing seeing as they were the originators though i've not had the pleasure of having authentic chinese ramen yet.
