One of my favorite cuisines of all time is Tex-Mex, and I'm sad to report that Matt Martinez, Jr., the "King of Tex-Mex," died last Friday. Martinez, owner of several notable Texas Tex-Mex restaurants, was one of the first pioneers to embrace the term. Insulted by critics who denounced Americanized Mexican food, Martinez abandoned claim to anything Mexican, calling it Tex-Mex instead.
To honor the legacy Martinez has left behind, I thought I'd put together a quiz about Tex-Mex cuisine. How much do you know? There's only one way to find out!

Tex-Mex inspired food seems to be really cool at the moment in Scandinavia. That and tapas. It's everywhere.
1well at least i got 3 out of 5 right. that's pretty good for someone that didn't know much about tex-mex at all just a few years ago.
23 / 5
31/5. I definitely don't know much about Tex-Mex! I don't think I've even had it that much (aside from fajitas - and I didn't even know they were Tex-Mex!)
44/5...blah.
52/5
6Hooray for tasty food!!!
74/5....I love me some tex-mex....it's really big in Colorado too. Not as much in CA though.
8Ouch. I really disappointed myself with this one.
9Missed only a few! Always something NEW to learn on here! Love it! (Who'd have thought...Tex/Mex Railway???)
105/5...can you tell I live in Texas?! The only one I wasn't sure of was the Railway, but I assumed it would be since it seems to happen often...the town I live in got it's name from the MKT train...Missouri, Kansas, Texas...and thus Katy
115/5 which is odd since I don't really like Tex-Mex. I grew up with California style Mexican food, however my dad's from AZ so I guess I picked up some facts from him...
12mmmm, tex mex. i used to live in AZ, where the food was great and the weather hot!
