Try saying this really fast three times: McDonald's is back with the Mac Snack Wrap. What's that, you ask? Simply put, it's the fast food chain's Big Mac wrapped in a soft flour tortilla in place of a hamburger bun. The new menu item is available in all Canadian McDonald's locations, although Eat Me Daily reports that the wraps are also being tested in Houston, Phoenix, Milwaukee, and Michigan City.
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm on the fence about this one. On the one hand, I hold a special place in my heart for the flour tortilla. But on the flipside, there are some things that just don't seem to belong inside tortillas — like hamburger patties. What do you say: Is the Mac Snack Wrap a brilliant way to eat on the go, or the most ridiculous idea ever?

I don't see a big difference between a hamburger patty and ground beef.
I would totally
eat this, minus the pickle of course. I hate pickles.
I detest McDonald's.
Looks DISGUSTING.
No. McDonalds is evil.
i'm a veggie so i'm the wrong person to ask, but maybe if i did eat meat i would consider it. there's something to be said about adapting a loved item...i just wonder if it loses something w/o the weird bread thing in the middle - the piece that's neither a top or bottom bun.
No thanks. I don't eat fast food.
It just looks... weird. Yep. Weird is the only word I've got.
To be fair, the description as "it's the fast food chain's Big Mac wrapped in a soft flour tortilla in place of a hamburger bun" is a little inaccurate. It's not a Big Mac unless it's got two patties. This is a sort of, well, 'medium' mac. And an odd one at that.
Which is not to say that I wouldn't eat it.

No Way... plus I've never had a Big Mac in my life and don't plan on having one ever.
I vary rarely eat McDonald's now, but if I did I would try this. I don't think eating hamburger patties in a wrap is absurd. I do it sometimes if I get a hamburger from the deli at school. Sometimes a whole wheat or spinach wrap is better than a bun.
*very rarely
I'd give it a try! I knocked Wendys for their "Chicken" wraps this past summer, but found them very affordable and good eats. So, i don't see McDonalds burger wraps being any different. Though, if test markets turn-out to be successful, by placing this item on their "value meals" list, MickyD's just may have a hit on their hands. I truly believe that Price will the "make or break" point for this product.. In fact, if this product is a hit, a Fish and/or Chicken version would probably sell better.
I'd try it. I wrap those vegetarian "chicken" patties in tortillas all the time.
No. Way.
No McDonald's. Ever. Even their french fries are made of the fat of mistreated animals.
My roommates are big into the Chicken Snack Wraps but I've yet to see one of these come home... seems a little gross. I think a McFalafel would look a lot more appetizing
Heck yes I'd try it! I haven't eaten a Big Mac in ages, mostly because they're so incredibly bad for you, but they're delish (if you have an undiscriminating palate like I do). Sounds like a great way to cut out the extra calories of the bun but still get some of the goodness.
i don't eat beef, but i don't see what the problem is. i love using tortillas instead of bread for most things anyway!
No thanks.
The chicken wraps from Dairy Queen are really good, surprisingly. I would probably try it, just to say I had. Oh, and weffie - I'm pretty sure McDonald's had to stop frying their fries in hamburger fat quite a few years back because there was some to-do about the fries not being vegetarian. They are fried in corn oil....actually almost everything at McDonald's is corn-based. Learned that by watching King Korn - see, not all TV rots your brain!
Just wrap a little bacon around it!
Sure, if it is "value" priced...I've made these at home when I forgot to make or buy sandwich bread or burger buns.
That doesn't make any sense at all!
I LOVE BIG MACS! But they are so bad for you so I eat maybe 1 or 2 a year now. This looks a lot smaller so my guess is its not as fatty either so I would def. try it!
I tried one, gave me the runs. Ha.
Ugh, I hate Big Macs...the sauce they use on them reminds me of vomit, for some reason. So a big NO on this one for me.
Yay, Spectra! I have to say no to this because special sauce is so gross (makes me think of the Simpsons episode where Grandpa worked at Krusty Burger -- the special sauce is a vat of mayo that's left out in the sun, ugh!). I'd be willing to give a chicken wrap worth a try, though.
i would once, if it was kosher
nope, but then again, i dont eat fast food
I don't really eat fast food so this goes on the no list
Just another fast food tactic to reintroduce their existing crap in a cute new package. McDonald's food is absolutely disgusting.
I rarely eat McDonalds but honestly I don't see how McDonalds is any worse than any other fast food chain. They don't cook their fries in animal fat (in Australia at least) and I've seen meat for McDonalds being processed at an abbotair and they have some of the highest standards of any buyer.
I didn't like the Big Mac before and I certainly don't like it now. Or McDonald's for that matter.
I'd probably try it, but it does look a bit strange.
i don't eat mcdonald's (or any meat, for that matter) but i sometimes make myself a whole wheat tortilla w/a veggie burger, and that's delicious, so if you eat big macs, i guess this would be good.
What they should have done was put real beef in there, not hamburger patties. Even if they used the same beef as their breakfast bagel sandwich, that would've been optimal!
Ive tried that before and i LOVED it!!!! i go every two/one days now
