There are certain applications for which white tastes better (grilled cheese sandwiches come to mind), but I prefer the nutty taste of whole wheat bread.
wheat. i used to eat white bread when i was younger, but i feel like the texture and flavor isn't my thing any more. besides - i like the taste of wheat bread a lot more
Wheat - I don't even remember the last time I ate white bread. Sourdough is pretty good too. I found a bakery where they sell organic sourdough. It's pretty good.
I prefer white, because thats what I grew up with, but I know wheat is healthier so that is what I use at home. When I am out though, sometimes I will get something less healthy if they have
a really yummy bread
I buy whole wheat because it's healthier, but every now and then I have to get a loaf of white potato bread, it just keeps me happy! And a nice garlic sourdough loaf is delicious too!
Of the two, I picked wheat...not because it's healthier..but because it tastes better to me. White bread is so pasty and glue-like, it grosses me out. Generally speaking though, I prefer 7 or
9 Grain.
I'd rather eat white, but I buy partially organic, whole grain wheat bread because it's better for me. I can't eat it with anything other peanut butter though because that's the only thing
strong enough to mask the taste.
Can't eat either since I had stomach surgery BUT honestly, health aside, white bread tastes SO much better than wheat. I hate anything wheat...it's just gross to me.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks white is better for toasted dishes (toast, grilled cheese), and wheat is better for sandwiches.
Ah, there's one brand of wheat, though, and I can't recall what it is, but it has some sort of seed that ALWAYS gets caught in my teeth. And it's a hard seed, too, so if I bite down on one, I
feel like it'll crack my teeth. Why would anyone put that in soft, spongy bread?!
On what planet does white bread taste BETTER than wheat? White bread tastes like a stale sponge. I was raised on wheat bread, so I prefer it over white.
wheat - it's healthier AND it tastes better.
the only time i eat wheat is if i'm at a restaurant on a special occasion and there are homemade rolls or something.
I'm always concerned for people who say that they genuinely can't taste a difference. It's not like you're comparing $10 wine with $20 wine and saying you can't taste the difference - the
breads have such different characteristics, it makes me worried that their tastebuds are deficient in some way!
I prefer sourdough, or rye, or white. I don't care for the texture of wheat bread.
I normally go for whole grain. But somethings just taste better with white bread, i.e. grilled cheese. Plus I am a total sucker for fresh San Francisco sourdough bread. mmmmm.

This soup ends up being a good source of three blood pressure-lowering minerals since the milk adds calcium and the potatoes deliver a dose of potassium, as well as magnesium.
Sometimes white just tastes better (depending on what you eat it with) but I normally buy whole wheat bread.
1I always eat whole bread it has a much better taste..
2I can't even eat white bread anymore, it just tastes so....plain.

15Wheat - I don't even remember the last time I ate white bread. Sourdough is pretty good too. I found a bakery where they sell organic sourdough. It's pretty good.

23ah not only is it healthier it tastes better. I can't even taste white bread. It melts so quickly in my mouth, it disgusts me.
24I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks white is better for toasted dishes (toast, grilled cheese), and wheat is better for sandwiches.

25White bread is so blah! It tastes awful and plain. Give me my whole-grains! Brown bread tastes better and is healthier.
26I typically eat wheat, but every once in a while I'll indulge a craving for white.
27I picked other. I eat wheat because it tastes better. White bread tastes like cake.
28If I had to choose between white and wheat, it would be white, I can't stand wheat bread, yuck. But I prefer rye bread and sourdough.
29I'm surprised no one has mentioned White Wheat bread. That's the kind I eat.
30White bread is the best. It's the one "unhealthy" food I will never give up.
31I would *rather* eat white, but I *actually* eat wheat because of the healthy stuff.
32On what planet does white bread taste BETTER than wheat? White bread tastes like a stale sponge. I was raised on wheat bread, so I prefer it over white.
33I picked other as well...i eat wheat because it taste better.
34I've always preferred wheat. I used to beg my parents to buy it, they were white bread eaters.
35I am so used to eating wheat bread and I actually have no problem with it - I love it!
36i like wheat but i eat white only when i have grilled cheese or pb & j.
37wheat - it's healthier AND it tastes better.

40I never had white bread as a kid...it's too plain!
41I LOVE wheat bread. I haven't had white (except for sour dough or french) since I was a child.
42Actually, I prefer the taste of wheat. Only lately has the "health" factor come into play.
For a few things, I want white for its texture though.
43I'm always concerned for people who say that they genuinely can't taste a difference. I prefer sourdough, or rye, or white. I don't care for the texture of wheat bread.
44I like the taste of both, but for the past few years have only been eating wheat bread.
45WHOLE grain or WHOLE wheat is healthier...some wheat is just white with a wheat color. i prefer wheat, either way haha
