No graduation party is complete without a playlist of sappy songs with lyrics that discuss lost innocence, having the time of your life, and parting ways with old friends. At my sister's graduation party, I'll be serving up her favorite foods (empanadas and a frozen chocolate peanut butter dessert) amongst her school colors while Green Day's "Good Riddance" plays softly in the background. Compile a playlist of old and new songs to please the wide range of ages that will be in attendance at your backyard bash. Throw in the grad's favorite songs and my dear fabulous friend BuzzSugar's graduation playlist and you'll have several hours of music for the soundtrack of your party. Got a great grad song? Tell me below so I can add it to my playlist!

Ceeeeelebrate good times, cmon!
1I think it's fun to throw in some tunes from the old days too! What about all the boy bands she used to dance in the mirror to?
Also Joanna Pacitti - Watch Me Shine, its from Legally Blond (and cheesy) but it's a girl power song!
2Your sister is sooo lucky to have you around!
3I loved this song and although it came out after I graduated it still makes me remember the fun times I had in school. It is by Vitamin C it is called "Friends Forever" or I have also seen it as the graduation song. It make a little tear more recently because I think about the storm that hit Enterprise AL and the high school, some kids died that day and when I hear it I get kinda teary, there was a song that came out I can't think of the band but the name is "We will carry On" getting chills just thinking about it. But I think those are great songs for something so monumental as a gradutation.
4"last goodbye" by jeff buckley is a great one, "no such thing" by john mayer, and "here's to the night" by eve 6. ("graduation day" by head automatica is another although I don't like it as much.)
