The president of Domino's Pizza, Patrick Doyle, has released a video where he apologizes for the disgusting behavior of two Domino's employees.
Earlier this week, a YouTube video was uncovered of a male and female performing unsanitary acts while making sandwiches at a North Carolina outpost of the pizza chain. Although the two employees were fired and charges are being pressed, Doyle hopes to reassure consumers of Domino's commitment to sanitary practices.
Check out his apology below and tell me: What's your take of the situation? Do you expect a large company, like Domino's, to apologize for the actions of two workers?

I really hope people realize that not all Domino's places are like this! It really really really really pissed me off how Perez Hilton was going on and on about it. My husband works at Domino's while he finishes school (and I'm out of work) so that's our income and it's going to suck if people stop going to domino's because of those two stupid stupid people!
1Wow. He seemed so heartfelt.
2Ah yes PH, that's where I read it.
3How horrible for this company to have to mop up after two eggheads reek havoc like this, and the poor store that this took place in? I wonder what will happen to its business.
Its a shame how some shameless idiots think they are funny by playing with other peoples lives (the owner and operators of that store) I dont think it was a "hoax" i think it was for real and they need to pay for it.
4I think it's a good idea. It clearly wasn't the fault of Domino's as a whole, but it sends a good image that they came forward and made it clear that they're just as disgusted as everyone else is.
5Why wouldn't he? It would be a stupid PR move not to.
6The fact that two inconsiderate, ruthless pranksters could affect a nationwide chain's sales is sad. It reminds me of the Wendy's finger in the chili scandal.
7What Doyle did was the right thing to do. He and Domino's corporate have also been addressing the incident on twitter.
I think he did the right thing, and his apology definitely seemed heartfelt. However, are felony charges really necessary? They're just stupid kids.
8The thing is shmoo they aren't kids. They are both over 30 and should know better. I hate that this happens to places beacuse of the idiocy of some people. Like Yum, this reminds me of the Wendy's scandal. Also the KFC employees bathing in the sink. Ugh.
He was very heartfelt and it was right for him to do. I just hate he had to apologize in the first place.
9Of course he did the right thing! A company like that HAS to. Like the first comment, those two could have possibly screwed things up for others, because in all honesty, I won't be rushing to a Dominos.
10It could happen anywhere, but I'm shocked the woman was in her thirties, like grow up!
And then the stupidity of people who do these things, but thats not enough, they have to post it on You Tube.
It actually makes me feel more confident about ordering Dominos because you know for damn sure from now on no one's pulling any funny business.
11Actually, good point!
12When Maple Leaf had its huge recall, I said its probably the best time to buy Maple Leaf products, because they are going to make sure everything is perfect!
It still smears the name though, which is unfortunate for the people still working there.
I think this CEO did the right thing by addressing the situation, we're already in a depressed economy and the pranks by those two idiots are going to really affect Domino's business. They deserve the felony charges they got, obviously they could care less about their jobs or other people. It's really too bad people are going to think of those two when they think of Domino's.
13Domino's needs to sue this two idiots for smearing their brand names. That's NOT a funny prank. How many other pizzas they've actually pulled this on, yeah, they can claim all they want that it's not sent out. I call BS on that. Domino's can lose a lot of business and then they have to lay off other employees who actually are honest and just trying to ride out the current economy or actually need the job to stay afloat.
14i think felony charges should definitely be brought against these two idiots. they tampered with food that was going to be delivered, aside from their sad denial against this.
also one thing is to do this in the kitchen of dominos privately--which is inexcusable in of itself, but the other is to videotape this and gloat about it? that is disgusting and vile, and i feel sorry for everyone associated with dominos who has to deal with this backlash. i feel the PR reps are doing everything they can, and are sincerely heartfelt about it. this incident does not deter my perception of them at all.
15Dominos should post his apology on a website like Apology Center and let the Internet world decide if it's worthy, ya know?
16Apology Center
I think he did the right thing- did he have to? No.. but it did kinda restore my trust in Domino's..
You could see how angry he was about it..
even if it was a "hoax" ...what a STUPID idea! That can seriously hurt so many people that work for that company. I hope they get punished whether they actually spit in the food or not.
17oops, i guess it wasn't spitting.. i read the story on yahoo and it said that on the front page, but i just read the whole article. ugh. so nasty.
18I think he did the right thing but man that has gotta suck. His company will loose a lot of money from this and in these tough economic times it makes it even harder.
19Yes, Criminal charges are neccessary. They're spreading their germs around. Who knows what kind of disease they have. What those people did was breaking the law. Furthermore, they aren't kids, they're in their late 20s and early 30s. They definitely know better.
20She was 31, evidently with a criminal background, and he was 32. I think they do deserve criminal charges brought against them. I think it's good that Dominos released this video - if anybody needs to freak out about that video, it's them.
The thing is you know this is not an isolated incident -
that is, not isolated to Domino's. I knew someone that admitted to me once that he did similar things at a chicken place. I know the majority of the time that most employees in most establishments are sanitary, but something like this happening is a [very small] risk you take anytime you eat food prepared by people you don't know.
Have people really stopped going to Domino's because of that video? That's pretty idiotic.
21As if this is the only time something like this has ever happened in a restaurant. Sheesh. It happens all the time! Watch the movie called Waiting. Take notes. Never send food back or be rude!
