Wouldn't it be lighter if you browned the beef in another pan and then poured off the fat? There's no way you'd be able to skim it off this way - and I'd rather eat my fat in cheese form, thank you very much!
1Just made this for my husband and I. He is so picky and I'm always trying to get him to eat healthier. I used organic beef and veggies, I had some left over chicken so I did a small batch w/ that. It was so good, my husband asked if I would make it again!
2Yum!
3so picky limelindsey! relax a bit....
4I made this for dinner tonight and it is soooo good! I usually make tacos with the mix in the store and this is so much better! I fried some of the tortillas and that made it even better (tho bad for you but it was good I couldn't resist!)
Oh and limelindsey, there was like no excess fat when I cooked the meet. Maybe because its sirloin instead of regular ground beef, so you can make the recipe as listed with no worries.
