When I reached for the coffee this morning, I realized that there were none left! Since I was barely awake, I opted for the second best thing: instant coffee. Although I don't normally drink soluble coffee, it works in a pinch — and it's better than nothing. Still, I'm not ready to make instant my default cup of joe. What about you?

I always find it intresting that most people won't drink it. My Colombian cousins drink it all the time.
1i've had it when there were no alternatives but my husband actually used to drink it ALL THE TIME .
2I just moved into my house and left my coffee grinder at home, so instant coffee for one week! I have to have my coffee caffeine fix and it works fine, just not as satisfying.
3Yes, all the time. I only ever have one cup of coffee at a time, so it's much more convenient. I don't even own a coffee maker anymore, which saves me counter space in the kitchen.
4Never! I have to have fresh beans!!!!
5If I'm out of coffee I leave 10 minutes earlier for work and pick up a cup on the way.
6I said "No" because if I don't have regular coffee in the morning, I'll drink tea, or juice, or something else. I don't have any instant coffee in the house. I don't think it's bad, or inferior, I just have SO MUCH TEA, and I need to use it up!
7Yes! there's an amazing Korean coffee Maxim .. comes in little individual packets that I swear by. It's so convenient and economical! ugh I hesitate to even share but I love it and it's so great when you just don't have a chance to get to a coffee shop. most delicious and fragrant coffee already with a bit of creamer and a pinch of sugar.
8I love the instant mochas that are always in stock at my parents house! they are so good and are such a treat! since my parents aren't coffee drinkers, this is what I have when I go home to visit them
9Sometimes, as my Mom gave me a HUGE jar of it.
Personally, I prefer filter coffee.
10I don't drink coffee , but i do keep some instant coffee in the house. I buy Folgers, the kind that are like tea bags. It is so much easier if my husband wants a quick cup.
11If I'm camping deep in the woods, miles away from the nearest coffee shop. Even then I usually would have my campfire espresso maker.
12Only if I'm stuck somewhere without a coffee maker. I stayed in Ukraine for two weeks in an apartment with no coffee maker and I had to drink Nescafe for two weeks. Not fun. I'd MUCH rather drink real coffee.
13I keep a jar of instant espresso on hand for baking, as it adds a wonderful depth of flavor to baked goods, particularly to chocolate desserts. I will sometimes add an spoonful of the instant espresso to my morning brewed cup if I need the extra "jolt".
By itself, though,
not so often.
14Hmmm, no. If I need coffee to stay awake and instant is the only thing available, I'll go for a red bull or Coke instead.
15Yup, I do. If it treat it as another beverage, it's not that big a deal. I like my espresso from my cafe and I like to make my instant coffee at home with purely milk heated on the stove with the granules whisked in. Poured over a teaspoon of honey it's really decadent. Drip filter is disgusting.
16Pouring the beans into the grinder.... the irritating buzz while it cuts up the beans and THAT AMAZING SMELL! The drip drop of the coffee maker brewing...the ritual is sometimes as worth-while as the end product. I love fresh coffee so much that I would never have instant unless truly there were no other options.
