No one knows exactly when or where doughnuts came about, but one of the stories out there states that on June 22, 1847, disgusted by the uncooked centers of his mom's fry-cakes, Hanson Crockett Gregory cut out the centers so that they would cook more evenly. Even if it's not true, it definitely got me thinking about doughnuts and I wondered, what's your favorite kind of doughnut?

23I try very very very hard to stay away from them. My office had the best smelling donuts the other day. I was KILLING ME. But I was a good girl and stayed away from them. They are so bad for you.
24i love eating chocolate donuts. i only eat them every now and them though. i went to eat at krispy kremes once and i never stepped foot in one again. i really dunno what the craze is about that donut chain. i know many people love eating there but i think their donuts are way too sweet. especially the glazed ones.

28Oh, and Chaotic, I LOVE croissants! A place is a place open at 6 and they're all gone by 9. They have plain almond, chocolate, pumpkin, blueberry, strawberry, cherry, lemon, etc. Plus, they do lunch. I always grab a milk and about a dozen for my fam when I'm out that way. Oh how I want it right now!
29no donuts. if i must, i might nibble at a glazed or something with white frosting; never eat the whole thing though. but i try my best to stay away.

hills - a cruller is a handshaped doughnut, or alternatively the one i'm more familiar with the french cruller is a light airy doughnut. Here's more info on Crullers. hope it helps!

40In Australia there is a shop called dreamy donuts, the lindt white chocolate donut is hands down the most amazing thing I have tasted.

43Dunkin' Donuts has this amazing raspberry filled donut with pink raspberry frosting (got to mention the pink bc it's my favorite color), with pieces of white chocolate/raspberry candy on top. It's TO DIE FOR. I also love chocolate cake donuts and creme filled. Oh, and rainbow sprinkles make me happy.

45Sour Cream Glazed! These are more dense and cakey than a regular cake doughnut and they have a little tang to them thanks to the sour cream. ummm so good!
46The mini chocolate-covered yellow cake doughnuts from the grocery store... i can eat a whole box.
47I really dislike doughnuts. I've only eaten one that I really liked - a chocolate sour cream flavored old-fashioned one from Tim Horton's. So delicious! Probably a good thing that I don't live close to one or I'd probably eat a few too many.
