WHAT!? A toddler was served alchy!?
Okay the sealed lid thing, made me think of Ultraviolet (different concept I know, but it looked the same). I don't think it will catch, I appreciate the thought of prevention though.
Who keeps margarita mix and apple juice next to one another????
I worked at an Applebees just a few months ago and we had a pre-made margarita mix but it didn't have any alcohol in it, it was just the lime flavor part to it, and was kept in a green and white container while the apple juice was kept in a black and white container. Another thing is that Applebees is rules crazy and the juices are kept on one side and the bar mixes are kept on the opposite side. I do know that sometimes if a bartender made too much margarita they would pour the extra in a kids cup and drink it, so I think this is probably how the child got served a margarita. The bartender probably poured a kids apple juice but set it down by his kids cup of margarita and when the server grabbed the kids cup, grabbed the wrong one.
oh and i would not want to drink my drink from a bar with a lid on it. I usually always hold my drink in front of me and if i have to use the bathroom I finish myy drink before setting it down, that way I know no one will slip anything into my drink.
That's scary about the little kid with the alcohol! I'm just glad the child didn't drink any more and suffer some serious consequences! If I had been the mother, I would have called over the waiter and demanded to know what was going on!
