On a personal level, Thanksgiving for 98 people. On a professional level, with assistance, 17,000 people - breakfast, lunch and dinner for three day seminar.
About 15-20 people for my mom and dad's surprise 50th birthday party. It was a pretty good-sized crowd, but I can't imagine cooking for more than about 30 people.
well i have a huge italian family so on most holidays (esp. the big ones like thanksgiving/christmas) we have over 30 (usualy 40 or more) ppl....
its not a big deal (just pounds and pounds of pasta and sauce--you get used to it if you grew up with it) on thanksgiving we always have two turkeys...and we ALWAYS have a ton of left overs
(last year a friend said their family never makes enough to have seconds/left overs--I had never heard of this!! we make enough for an army!!!)

12Asian families (more like clans) like to get together just for the fun of it, so I have cooked for 50+ several times.
13I cooked for a choir dinner of 22, and a thanksgiving of 30. I love the energy and the rush, and the fabulous company!
14I am a caterer! My boyfriend and I have done weddings up to 125..
