Today is the 11th day of the seventh month of the year. You know what that means? 7-Eleven is giving away free Slurpees! In honor of its 82nd birthday, the convenience store chain is filling up gratis 11.7-ounce drinks.
Slurpees have always been one of my favorite drinks (and hangover cures) and I just might have to get one this afternoon.
How about you? Do you enjoy Slurpees? What is your go-to flavor?

I love them. Especially when I'm pregnant, which happens to be now.
1I used to like slurpees when I was younger, but my mom would only let us get a small the diet coke kind, or whatever the "low-fat/cal/sugar/wahteverthecrap" was. Then she wisened up and started letting us get a small of whatever.
The last I had some slurpee, my brother had a free coupon for any size, and when I stole a sip, apparently I made the funniest face. This was at least a year ago.
No more slurpees for me.

3I love them too much - a few years back I think I gained about 20 lbs JUST from slurpees, so now I only have maybe 2 or 3 small ones a year. I always get coke!
4lol. It must be a pregnancy thing. I too am pregnant and can't get enough of the slurpee goodness.
5Yuck. I don't like frozen sweets. But then again, I'm not pregnant.
6I like slurpees, but the free ones are really small. I just bought a big one and it wasn't a bad price either.

Hmmmm...may just have to swing by there LOL, it's supposed to be around 89 today, but for some reasons, it's still in mid 60s right now and cloudy and windy..

13I just realized that we don't even have 7-11 in Columbus; now I'm really missing Slurpees. My favorite flavor is also red.
14Love them. I'm from Winnipeg, the Slurpee Capital of the World 10 years running. We, and I mean I, drink them in the dead of winter. Which winter here is unbelievably cold. Like them with many different flavors, like the picture above.
15Now bacon would be good but I'll just have to pair a slurpee with some bacon wrapped dogs!

19I put hate them. I have never actually had a slurpee but nothing about them sounds appealing.

22I like them on occasion. Maybe once or twice a year on a really hot day in the summer. Unfortunately it has been unseasonably cool and rainy so far in Toronto so I haven't had one yet.
23I like them OK, but when me and my sis were teens, we went to this convenience store to get snacks and they sold "Chilly Willy"s. My sister wanted one, but felt dumb about asking for one, so she made me ask the hot counter guy: "Hey, can I get a large Chilly Willy please?" Yeah, that was a tad awkward. We still laugh about that now.
24Slurpies are great anywhere, any time. Even in winter.
