I don't have one , but I was thinking of getting one because of all the great new recipes for ice cream. plus you can make it low fat or with slim or soy milk.
I bought my husband the 2 qt. shiny steel Cuisinart for his birthday this year. I just made my first batch over the weekend (agave sweetened jackfruit and pineapple). My only regret, I still
wonder if I should have gone for the hand crank? Homemade ice cream is awesome, one more thing to plug in is not.
I have one but I wouldn't say that I can't live without it. Because I totally have. I've owned my ice cream maker for almost a year (it was a bridal shower gift) and my husband and I have
used it once. Didn't make a lot of ice cream. We'll have to try doubling the recipe or something.
I have the KitchenAid one in the picture! I've used it twice so far, to make chocolate sorbet. It's way easier and I'd like to think healthier, but who knows, than making ice cream. I wish I
had more than one bowl and a larger freezer, though, so I can make two batches in one day.
I love my ice cream maker; ever since we did an ice cream class as a group for work last summer, i'm always looking for excuses to use it! My most recent batch, Key Lime Pie Ice Cream was
heavenly! (And safely stored at the bf's house, so I can appreciate it in small doses.)
I have one, but it's so old-school and I barely use it. I have one of those ones that you have to add ice and salt to and it's such a pain in the butt. I use it maybe once a year, if that.
I'd probably use it more if I had one of those ones that don't require ice and salt.
I have an old school one where you use ice and rock salt and it's fine! But I have two little girls that loooooove to put the ice and salt in. I bought my ice cream maker two weeks ago and
have been using it non stop! It's really fun!
sometimes i wish that i did have one. my mom does i think..(maybe i got it for her even). i just think that it's kind of fun to have something like that around for the summers.
My newly married friends got a great one as a gift -- it looks like a hamster ball and you can roll or throw it around to mix the rock salt and ingredients. Lots of fun, and delicious ice
cream for a big group! I think it was from Target or Bed Bath.

1I'm debating getting one. I've been looking at one that Cuisinart makes... I've never used anything besides the old fashioned ice cream makers though.

3Of course! In fact, we used it over the weekend to make triple chocolate peanut butter ice cream! It was to die for!!

5My husband's cousin got us one as a wedding gift and it was a total hit. We use it all summer long!

10No, I'm not a big fan of ice cream. I rarely eat it.

12No, and I don't want one. I'm not a big ice cream fan so it would just be a big waste of money.

15Last summer I saved up for a nice ice cream maker and then in a fit of self-righteousness bought a bike. Have been regretting it ever since.
16No, my kitchen is tiny so I have to pick and choose what appliances I have. Store ice cream just has to be good enough for me and it is.
17No but I want one as well as a yogurt maker
