One of my best buys was my Kitchen Aid 5-quart Professional Plus, I'd buy him (Willis) all over again if I needed too, but I won't because he'll probably outlive me!
Also don't mind splurging on knives, food processors, blenders, and pots and pans because I feel the quality of the product I've spent the money on has been well worth it to turn out great
food as efficiently as possible.
However I don't just spend money on what's expensive, I am a huge fan of America's Test Kitchen/Cooks Illustrated ratings, and do a fair amount of research from any number of sources before
splurging.
My hand mixer and I get along fine; though a food processor would be handy from time to time, it would mostly take up precious counter and cabinet space and I have good knives; I'm not a
coffee person; I don't drink juice; I have a good relationship with my red kitchen-aid blender (hello wedding present)so....
My husband gave me a Viking mixer for mothers day and Im still waiting to get it!!! Im so EXCITED after years with a handheld this will be awesome!!! Hope it gets here soon!
We love our Kitchenaid!!! We use it soo much more than we expected. My next purchase is going to probably be a blender - we have one, but it's not the best looking blender in the world! The
cuisinart food processor wouldn't be bad either.
A good mixer is definitely worth the splurge! I want a pink KitchenAid mixer so bad!! The great thing about those are ALL of the awesome attachments!
Another thing that wasn't listed (although I wouldn't exactly call it a gadget) is knives. Good, sharp, professional quality knives are definitely worth the extra money!
A stand mixer is great if you're into serious baking, especially anything stiff and heavy like bread dough. The dough hook is awesome! I have a friend who basically bakes only things from
boxes...I think they bought their machine for some kind of "status".
pixelhaze: Yes there are, I actually have a cuisinart base that holds both my food processor and blender, it's like 2 gadgets in one and I use it almost daily!
Haha hollygo4405, I, too, plan on getting married just for the pink Kitchenaid. I can't justify buying it myself, because, really, my hand mixer (with dough hook attachments, $7 at Walmart)
works just fine.
I want that pink ice cream maker that was posted a while back, but I don't think I'd ever use it.
I REALLY want a food processor- I have one of those little mini ones, and it sucks. But that, too will have to be a gift.
I'd have to choose the juicer, because I know I'd use it a lot, and my bf's crazy about those expensive juice drinks- we'd save money by making them ourselves. Plus, I'm always wishing I
could juice the extra carrots (we can never eat the whole bag before they go bad) and the about-to-go-bad fruit. In fact, a juicer WAS next on our list of big purchases, but then we decided to
get cable, so no juicer for me...
I would say I'd spend the most on a Food Processor because they just do everything, but I choose Mixer cause I want the Kitchen Aid one so bad, and it seems everyone else here either has one
and loves it or wants one...so now I just want it more
I need a new food processor, but I'm disappointed in the quality of what is out there. Even the top of the line ones feel poorly made and as if it'll need replacement in a short time. If
anyone has some suggestions that'd be awesome.

11I've splurged on everything but an espresso machine, which is the next thing on my list. I LOOOOOOVE my kitchenaid mixer.
12I picked the blender; I like to have protein shakes, so I think I would use the blender more. I also like the food processor.
13I really want a juicer!
14I love the kitchenaid mixers b/c they come in a variety of pretty colors!!!

24I'm torn between the pink Kitchenaid and a food processor. I really need both!
25An espresso machine has been on my Christmas list for YEARS. I think juicers are just a waste of space though.
26We love our Kitchenaid!!! We use it soo much more than we expected. My next purchase is going to probably be a blender - we have one, but it's not the best looking blender in the world! The cuisinart food processor wouldn't be bad either.

36Oh, none of these are splurges! They are must haves. We have them all and use them on a regular basis...except the espresso maker maybe.
37i want a blender because you can make sm00thies and cocktails and nice drinks and its fun.
38pixelhaze: Yes there are, I actually have a cuisinart base that holds both my food processor and blender, it's like 2 gadgets in one and I use it almost daily!
39I plan on getting married just for one of the HUGE mack daddy Kitchenaid mixers.
