Aaw, Barbie dolls! Love them so much. I've just realized I've been spending more on Barbie dolls than clothes, lately - kinda crazy I guess. That round pillow is amazing, btw n_n
When my niece was two she was obsessed with my Barbie Collection that she was told often not to touch. She would often run into my bedroom and whisper "Hi, Barbie!" to every single barbie and
then run out again. She is 12 now and past the playing with barbies stage, but still loves to look at them.
this stuff is adorable! i will never forget my plastic barbie apartment, that folded up like a suitcase and had 2 twin beds in it. love love love that vintage barbie is around for the next
generation
I remember once in HS, I had this barbie, and someone stole it. It was "found" later... right, found. Anyway, this was my FAVORITE barbie (hula hair, with the sticky shoes from work-out
barbie), and I was not at all happy that she went missing. But you bet I was glad to have it back.
Since I was about 5, I have received the collectable holiday Barbie for Christmas. Over the years I have accumulated so many Barbies, still in the original boxes. I love to look through them
and admire the details and differences from year to year. Even now, I still get excited waiting for Christmas morning to see my new Barbie doll!
I got my first Black Barbie (I think her name was officially Christie) for my 4th birthday. I was soooo excited! She had a beautiful electric blue dress and I think she could run her fingers
through her hair! I will proudly love Barbie forever!
Very cute Barbie stuff. I can't pick a favorite Barbie memory. It was fun to drive the mobile home around my house banging into all of the furniture driving my mom nuts. The convertible was
fun too. I loved all of her beautiful outfits. I also enjoyed passing on the enjoyment by purchasing holiday Barbies for each of my girls to start their collection. The three of us would love
to invite a new one to our home but we will have to draw straws to see who's collection she will join.
As a young boy, I fondly recall ripping the heads and legs off of my sister's Barbies. It seems the universe has a sense of humor as I've now swung around the other way and my house is filled
with Barbie. Just like my heart. LOL Corny I know, but still true.
I adored Barbie as a little girl and I remember getting lost in the make believe of Barbie. It is definitely difficult to pick at one specific memory, however, the magical thing about Barbie
dolls is the variety and I think I grew up in an era were there were so many options. From the mid to late 80s to the mid 90s, I just loved Barbie. I played with beach barbies, career
barbies, history barbies and I swore that I would collect them.
I think my favorite memory would be visiting the toy store and running directly to the Barbie aisle. I'd admire all the different dolls and accessories and if I wasn't getting a doll that day
I would take my time to pick one out. Lastly, they had collectors dolls of Scarlett O' Hara, My Fair Lady, and I Love Lucy dolls in a big glass case and I promised I would get one one day. I
never did but was wonderful to hope and imagine that I could and how this great doll embodied all that imagination.
I loved Barbie (and Skipper). I played with them until I was probably a little too old for it! Favorite memory...my sister and I brought all our barbies back out from my mom's basement and
played with them (I was in college and she was in high school at them time).
I loooove Barbie! My fav memory was when I took my first trip to the USA back in 86...and was a total "kid in a candy store" couldn't decide which ones I wanted to buy....Needless to say I
got a bunch AND a Dream House! Still have them all in my collection.
I LOVE Barbie! Fond memories I have are spending time with my older sister playing with Barbies. Playing around with those dolls and clothes and ((TONS of)) shoes is what propelled me towards
fashion! I also remember when it was a big deal that they had Barbies from the Olympics..I had the swimmer one! [:
I use to have this Barbie as a child that I use to take everywhere with me. She had a dream house a car, and a dog. She was everything I wanted er to be. She was perfect. One day we went to
the playground and I was on a swing and I put her one one. The girl came along and started playing with her and we became besties.
Yay! Barbies. My grandpa was awesome at making things out of wood. So one year for Christmas he surprised me to tears when he unveiled a huge three story Barbie house with all the
furnishings. It was gorgeous. I think I played with Barbies longer than I should have because of that house. It was a hit with all my girlfriends. Still to this day I haven't found a little
girl with as nice as a house as I had.
When she was alive, my Nana would give me a different Collector's Edition Barbie doll (sometimes more than one) every birthday and Christmas. My favorite Christmas was when she gave me Barbie
as the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker, a ballet she'd taken me to when I was a child. Every time I see a Barbie doll, I think of the special bond I had with my Nana.

Knowing that "Santa" would bring Barbie things was always the highlight of Christmas. My children got collectors Barbies for Christmas and Birthdays and also played with mine. Scarlett O'Hara
is still their favorites.
Loved Barbie with all her accessories, homes, cars and friends. Now, my own little ones are spending hours playing with the same infamous Barbie and friends--thank you!
My favorite memory is when my Dad stayed up late every night for weeks before Christmas because he was making me my own Barbie house! It was awesome and my Barbies loved living there! They
even had a salon to do hair and a boutique downstairs to sell clothes!
I loved Barbies!! Favorite memory is going to an antique store with my mom and we discovered a trunk of old Barbies, clothes and accessories. What a treasure!! Played with them until finally
gave them to my cousin and she still has them for our children to play with!
I played with Barbies in the 60s, mostly with my sister's hand-me-downs, but loved them. I finally got my own Barbie head--the one with disappearing hair and makeup (life-size head). I spent
many an hour with different hairstyles and today, love to use extensions and different hair pieces (on myself!) Still a Barbie girl at heart. I would love the Barbie pictures--brings back
good memories.
My memories of Barbie are very sad, because I never had one!
Growing up, my parents had not enought money to buy one.I remember my mom bought an imitation one(looked very different than the real one), and to please her I pretended I liked it.But deep
in side I wish I could have he real THING.
Now I have my little girl, and we go to trift stores and buy vintage Barbie dolls. We redo their her, give them new clothes and send them to poor kids in Brazil, where I come from.It makes us
happy, and a lot of little girls that still dream of having a Barbie.
My favorite Barbie memory was taking the beds/benches out of my little sister's Barbie Folding Fun House (folded up like a suitcase) and we'd set them up like church pews. These were for the
"audience." Then we'd take our Barbie couch and dining room chairs out for the "stage." We'd also have a seat for the "host Barbie."
My little sister and I would have these talk shows with a Barbie audience. The topics were "You aren't invited to my wedding" "You stole my boyfriend (Ken)" "You're mean." My little sister
sometimes took it too far when she'd have the dolls slap each other with their bent Barbie arms and knock over the chairs on "stage."
My daughters are really into Barbie now. They are now giving them hair washes and cuts. DH asked the other day why there was 25 Barbie brides sitting on the couch and I told him that we spent
all afternoon making wedding dresses from TP. I wish I had a picture of it.
My official first Barbie I got in 1995, I was incredibly enchanted because when we wouldn't afford it, my mom was of course against it. When we could, she wouldn't because he mother never
bought her toys(what that had to do with me, I don't know...). But anyway, another family member did get me a barbie for X-mas though. It was the Bath Blast Blue Foam Barbie. The swimsuit was
done so well that I remember it vividly. I've always been a Barbie fan. I went crazy when the Barbie fold and fun house came out. It's perfect! You can fold it up and take it with you, but it
remain in tact. It had a little street light and a bed. I never had the little car though, damn.
The girls im my neighborhood would get together and each of us had a different Barbie and I had a dream house my sister had the Barbie cruiseship and pool.We had such fun!!
My favorite Barbie memory was when I was finally 'mature' enough (maybe 6ish) that my older cousin would let me play barbies with her, she was reading Anne of Green Gables and every Sunday at
my Grandmother's house my cousin would assign me barbies/roles so that we could act out the chapter she was reading. It was a pretty memorable summer and its now something that we talk about
at family event. She just recently had a little girl and I was able to give her, her first barbie!
Barbie, her friends and family were a large part of my life as a young girl. My neighborhood friends and I would get together at one another's
homes at various times and play for hours with out Barbies, Kens,
Skipper, etc. I remember having a case for my Barbie that held her and her outfits ( and shoes )! One day, my friends and I had a Barbie doll tea party in my mom's canna flower garden. These
flowers
were 6 ft. tall and we had our secret tea party right in the middle
of these flowers. Many thanks for such a fun and fabulous giveaway!
I had a ton of barbies and barbie stuff as a kid and so did my daughter. But my favorite barbie memory is when my mom got my niece a holiday barbie for christmas and she went around singing
"It's holiday barbie" forever!
not exactly my favorite memory, but my most prominent one:
when i was around 3-4 (mind you, i dont remember hardly anything from then, but i remember this vividly), i got a brand new barbie. and it was some sort of jewlery barbie; hence, its rings
and earrings were special. i was playing with it and my brother comes over, and he drops her ring down the sink. i was so mad/sad and i dont think ive cried so hard, to this day. and i will
hold it against him forever.
I had Barbie, Midge and Ken. Much to my delight, my grandmother sewed me a wonderful set of tiny clothes form my dolls. I especially remember the leopard print coat!
I never had barbies as a child had the british equivalent but my daughters love Barbie. I remember my dolls used to have adventures with Action man stuff (Gi joe) I'm amazed they never broke
when I parachuted them out the window!
My memories of playing with Barbie are fun times, then seeing my daughter play with her, and finally the circle is complete seeing my granddaughter enjoying her Barbies!!!
