Padron Peppers
Also known as pimientos de Padrón, these small green chili peppers are native to Padrón, Spain. Most have a sweet mild taste, but some are hot and spicy. The only way to determine the heat of the pepper is to eat it. Padróns are in season between June and September. Traditionally they are fried in olive oil and seasoned with coarse salt.

I love these peppers! I ate them at like every meal when I was in Barcelona a few months ago!
1Wrap mine with bacon and put it on the grill!
2I had these peppers the first time I tried proper tapas in Madrid! They are soooooo nice! Luckily I didn't get any that were too spicy.
3Thanks Yumsugar!!! I'm from a village near Padron, in Galicia and it's very nice to read something good above my country at a USA Website.
4Also I have to say that food is a speciality from Galicia. If you have the oportinity, visit it. It's a beautiful land.
Regards.
