In honor of tomorrow being Bastille Day (France's equivalent to the 4th of July), I say that we all make (or order out at your local French lounge) French Martinis. In France, a French Martini is typically made with Lillet and served as an aperitif, but like most things, the cocktail has been Americanized. The lillet has been replaced by vodka and the result is a very tasty, somewhat girlie drink, in a decadent shade of raspberry. If you've never tried one please do, it's beyond divine. You know you want the recipe, so read more

Sounds like a yum to me.
This sounds très bon! Viva La France!
PartySugar, if I was to use Lillet instead of vodka, would I use 2 oz if?
I've had this before I didn't know it was a french martini. I was wonderful
Sure thing CiaoBella! Let me know how it tastes with the lillet I've only ever had the vodka version.
I had a different version of this drink...or they probably just called it French Martini. The one I had was a concoction of vodka, triple sec, and Hypnotique.
Looks good.
Vive La France!!!! Thanks Yum!
Vive La France!!!! Thanks Yum!
MMMMM...this is actually MY drink ! It is quite delightful ! It has a very distinctive appearance/color, so every time I have one, somebody will always come up and ask me what it is. One time at a work -related conference I had a whole bunch of women that I just met drinking them!
This sounds really good! I LOVE anything with pineapple juice in it.
Looks good!
This is my favorite cocktail!! So yummy! But now that I'm pregnant, it will be quite a while before I have another one.
Very pretty drink.
