While I love lasagna as much as the next avid home cook, I'm not sure how I feel about this lasagna trio pan ($79.95). Sure, it's great for picky eaters — you can make three different kinds of lasagna for your family! — but I prefer a slice of lasagna's soft center over the crusty side pieces. What do you think about it? Is this lasagna pan practically perfect or simply stupid?

My family is probably the pickiest family I know and lasagna is one of the manyu dishes that causes a problem. My husband likes lasagna, one of the few things he likes, but one son doesn't like any cheese, another doesn't like ricotta and my daughter doesn't like ground meat. Pure hell to make dinner here most nights. They are teens and prefer to go hungry than eat want they don't want. On the rare occassions I give in and make lasagna for my husband and the family I try to section off the lasagna to make a section to cater each persons preference. This pan would make that much easier but as you mentioned the edges are the preferred pieces here.
1I would never spend the money on but actually think it is pretty cool. I wouldn't use it for picky eaters( i don't have much patience for that), but more so that people could try all three! Makes dinner more interesting
2its too expensive and i can't imagine buying enough ingredients to make three different types of filling for lasagna. that being said, this would be perfect to make meals for the week without getting sick of the same thing, or for a picky family...just not at 80.00 bucks
3woah that price is steep...but its a good concept
4Ridiculous. My husband and I both like the same lasagna and I LOVE the middle pieces that aren't so crispy. And at $80, I'd never buy this thing.
5Dumb. Geez, keep the 80 bucks and just use two or three small bread pans that you probably already have on hand!
6Holy &%$*!#. For that price, I'll get three individual pans, tank you. Because then I'll also be able to use just one of them, if the need arises.
7Hmm, a good idea, but not something that I'd ever buy, with the price ensuring that. When I make lasagna, I use those big barbecue trays (a foot or so wide by another foot) that cost next to nothing, and I can throw away straight after it's eaten. If I want to make different flavors, then I'll just use another tray.
8this is awesome because when I make lasagna I can't add all the veggies I prefer since my hubby doesn't like a majority of them. This would completely solve that problem.
9This pan is available on amazon for 29 bucks. Still somewhat steep, but a lot more realistic than skymall (which, is insanely inflated at the best of times).
I think it looks fun.
10I'd totally use it! And not just for lasagna, what about meatloaf or brownies!!! I may check it out on Amazon, 30 bucks is a whole lot better than 80!
11I have to agree - just use two or three small separate dishes if you're going to make separate lasagnas.
12The price is ridiculous. The baker's edge pan is a similar concept and less than half that price. I'd NEVER bake 1/3 of three different lasagne recipies - too much hassle! And the inside pieces are the best - the noodles always get dried out at the edges. So boo to no inside pieces.
13i actually really like this. given that i'm a veggie and just about everyone that i know isn't - it's hard when they want to have lasagna and i do too but we can't have the same thing. now you can
this is really cute!
14I think it's great, but not for that ridiculous price! I love the idea of making more than one kind of lasagna. Actually, three! In fact, I love SkyMall in general. I always wind up deciding that I need to have every item in it, even though I never knew any of them ever existed before opening the catalog.
15I'm not a short order cook!! I cook one meal and if you eat it, good; if you don't, that's okay too. I don't take orders and I don't accept tips. It's lasagna one way in our house!! (But for the salad you can have your choice of salad dressings!!!)
